Nice TRX and KB workouts, Julie. It looks like I'll be relying on my TRX quite a bit over the next 4 weeks since I'll be on the road most of the time. I'll hang it in the small oak in front of my MIL's tomorrow. I wonder if she'll hear from the neighbors?
BTW, I finally posted info on the wine making supplier I use over in my log. It's creeping down in the pile of threads, but here's a quick link to the post.

For the dietary compliance challenge ... I will be posting meals again ... planned and actual (if they differ) ... and my meals will follow the following rules:
1. I am not counting calories.
2. I will have 5-6 meals daily.
3. Each meal will have approximately 18 g protein.
4. Each meal will have approximately 20 g carbs from starchy veggies, legumes, whole grains, or fruits.
5. 4-5 meals will have fibrous veggies (at least 1 cup).
6. Each meal will have healty (non-damaged) fats (enough to satiate, but not specifically limited).
So for Day 1 (tomorrow):
M1: protein powder, water, peach, ANPB
M2: eggs, zucchini, feta, tomato, potato, & onion
M3: lettuce, tomato, cuke, deli ham, EVOO dressing; apple
M4: chicken breast, artechoke, EVOO/vinegar, carrot/red cabbage slaw
M5: Fage yogurt, berries, almonds
Also planning a workout, TRX style ...
Extensive warm up ... then
Tri-sets with minimal rest between exercies, and 90 seconds between sets:
ARGGHHH!!! Up with Hayley much of the night (she's sick) after staying up late watching my Yanks beat the RedSox ... sigh ... oh well ... planning to drop off Michaela, my work laptop, and grocery shop all gross and unshowered ... then workout after picking Michaela up from school while the kiddos nap ... I prefer to get it done in the morning, but I just didn't or couldn't or didn't ... whatever ... still a raving bitch this morning ... I guess I'll be calling my doctor this afternoon too. Sigh.

Sending more hugs...
This made me laugh out loud!! Actually, I do a lot of purposeful breathing with the daily meditation and the twice weekly yoga ... it DOES help a lot ...
Of course, my doctor's office is closed on Monday ... sigh ... I'll hear from her tomorrow ...

Well... um... let's not talk about Yanks/Red Sox or we might have to stop being friends...
Sorry to hear about all the stress. Hope things improve soon!

Workout:
Extensive Warm-Up/Mobility/Activation ... then ...
Courtesy of the TRX ...
No rest between exercises, 1 minute between sets ...
A1: Sprinter's Start: 12e, 12e, 12e (harder than I anticipated ... I did do the hop ... )
A2: Rows: 8, 8, 8 (nearly horizontal!!)
A3: Squats: 12, 12, 12 (felt nice and loose with near perfect form)
B1: Power Pull: 12e, 8e, 8e (these were awkward ... not sure my shoulders liked this movement. It also could have been my lack of space as I kept running into our boiler ... )
B2: Reverse Lunge: 10e, 10e, 10e (I did the crossover variety)
B3: Push-Ups (or chest press if you prefer): 10, 10, 10
Eats:
M1: as planned (forgot to post that this includes Greens+ for my veggies)
M2: apple, cheese, ANPB
M3: fresh mozz, tomatos, cukes, avocado, olives, dressing, and super-crunchy-whole-grain-crackers
M4: will be as planned
M5: will be as planned ... and I got raspberries!!
I've gotten out of the habit of posting my scorecard, but if you care to see how I'm doing, you can always check my tracker in my siggie ... but, here's today's scorecard (assuming I stay clean my last two meals, which I am confident that I will).
Today's ScoreCard: Sleep: last night 6.5 hours mostly interrupted from a sick kid ... but I also stayed up too late (go Yankees!) 0/7 Meditation: 1/7 Not done yet but plan to do this evening. Me Time: 0/1 Eats: No cheats today. Meals not as planned, but within dietary plan. 1/7 Workout: See above. 1/7 Mood: BITCHY!! Not as bad as a few days ago, but I am avoiding people like the plague!!
Tomorrow's Plan ... I will post food in the morning, but my workout plan is some yoga. I'm feeling really tight in my upper back, so hoping to work on that. Also planning to do a hike with the kids ... remember they are 2.5 and 4 so it's not a particularly strenuous thing, but at least it's better than doing nothing. I also will talk to my doctor about my Aunt Flo's belated/lack of appearance. I also have to write an article ... and make some phone calls about stuff for my daughter's school. Eats WILL be on target!!

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!! Aunt Flo arrived last night ... stupid hag!!
Consequently, slept like the dead last night ... yay ... and eats were 100% perfect yesterday WITH NO CRAVINGS!!! It is interesting to me how much the cravings I have battled the past few years are so hormonally driven. Because they are not just, "hmmm ... a chocolate chip cookie sounds good". Instead they are more like, "I MUST HAVE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES ... I MUST EAT THE WHOLE BOX!!!" And the thought of it doesn't go away no matter how many of the little tricks I try ... honestly even eating them doesn't make it go away!! Weird. But now they're gone. So that's good.
Today's Workout:
45 minute Forrest Yoga with Chris from YogaDownload ... this was a new style of yoga for me and I'm not sure I liked it. It was nearly continuous cueing which I found rather distracting. But I feel good and stretched out. Also did a 20 minute Healing Meditation from TheMeditationPodcast.com that sent me waaayyyy out ... it was great
Today's Menu:
M1: eggs, cheddar, zucchini, onion (from my garden!), fresh oregano, ham; Ezekiel with butter; peach
M2: large salad with tuna, feta, olives, tomatos, green beans, EVOO dressing, and brown rice
M3: celery, hummus, baby carrots (raw), cheese
M4: salmon, asparagus, garbanzo bean salad
M5: Fage, raspberries, almonds
Today's ScoreCard: Sleep: last night 8.5 hours completely uninterrupted 1/7
Meditation:2/7 Not done yet but plan to do this evening. Me Time: 0/1 Eats: Planning full compliance. No cravings so it shouldn't be an issue. I'll update later and leave this for now. 1/7 Workout: See above. 2/7 Mood: Good! Much happier and less pissed off at everything. Feeling happy and good.
Off to shower, feed the kids and myself ... then off to the dentist for a 2:00 appointment.

You said that you are training an amputee in my log. What are you doing with her?
Oh, not now ... several years back ... now I am just a stay at home mom who works on weekends per diem!! She was elderly ... 85 I think ... a heavy smoker ... and a diabetic who was non-compliant with her diet and meds ... she eventually lost her other leg and she has since passed. She really wanted to walk and so we used to work on walking stuff ... she also had a significant hip flexor contracture, so we would stretch her hip out, then do some strengthening and gluteal activation stuff (oh, also she was above the knee) .. .lots of weight shifting activities in standing and some pre-gait activities ... stuff in the parallel bars ... and actual walking. She had lots of issues with her socket ... it was the kind with socks. Then they tried one with her that instead of socks used this powder stuff. As I said, I have not treated a lot of amputees in my career, and she was the last one about 5 years ago. Now I get them occasionally in home care, but I am just evaluating their home safety and equipment needs usually.

You're not JUST a stay at home mom. You have the very important job of stay at home mom -- you've got the opportunity to make sure you're kids get off to the start you want them to have. Keep up the great work you're doing with them!
Yesterday's ScoreCard: Sleep: Tuesday night 8.5 hours completely uninterrupted 3/7
Meditation:3/7 Me Time: 0/1 Eats: Perfect. 3/7 Workout: Done. 3/7
Mood: It was pretty good all day. No real mood swings or crabbiness. A little tired but that's all!
Today's Plan:
Sleep last night was somewhat elusive ... I went to bed at a reasonable time and fell asleep right away. But then my sore butt woke me, so I got up and stretched a bit. Then Hayley started crying. Dragged myself to her room where her lovey had fallen onto the floor. Then an hour later, same thing. Finally the third time was around 5:00 am and that's when Matt gets up anyways, so he got up. Totally sleepus interruptus, but what sleep I did get was deep and restful. Planning to get to bed extra early tonight ... after Survivor of course!!
Workout: planning to do 45 mintues of detox yoga which apparently involves lots of spinal twisting. I'm feeling a bit stiff in my spine so this should feel good. I have to take Michaela to the dentist this morning, so this will happen this afternoon.
Nutrition Plan:
M1: eggs, cheddar, spinach scramble; sliced tomatos; Ezekiel toast with butter
M2: apple, gouda, ANPB
M3: large salad with greens, red cabbage, radishes, carrots (raw), deli ham, and EVOO dressing; grapes
M4: Mexican seasoned ground turkey, corn tortilla, cheese, avocado, tomato, lettuce, salsa
M5: Fage yogurt, peach, sunflower seeds

Thanks Lance! You are right, of course ... it's hard to remember sometimes, but I am not JUST a SAHM ... thank you for the reminder!!

Julie...your plan looks good! I had the same experience with my sleep last night. I fell asleep well, stayed asleep, and then woke up with my back aching. But I don't have a new mattress like you do!

Thanks Brenda ... I do LOVE to eat!! (That's part of my problem!) And as long as I stick to my plan I don't see why food has to be boring and tasteless ... when I eat boring and tasteless it makes me want to cheat more!!

Mahler, yea, thanks ... I am sort of used to it as I have restless legs and many nights have to get up to stretch ... although now I try to remember to stretch before bed ... if I could just get my 2 1/2 year old to sleep undisturbed, we all would sleep better!!
Yesterday's ScoreCard: Sleep: Wednesday night 8.5 hours interrupted many times 4/7
Meditation:4/7 Me Time: 0/1 Eats: Perfect. 4/7 Workout: Yoga. 4/7
Mood: Good I think ... I can't really remember!!
Today's ScoreCard: Sleep: Thursday night 8.5 hours interrupted by Hayley again 5/7
Meditation:5/7 Me Time:1/1 Matt took the girls for a walk and I enjoyed some "me time"! Eats: Perfect. 5/7 Workout: Feeling a bit fatigued today from the lack of sleep I think ... so I substituted yoga for my strength workout, and I plan to do the strength workout tomorrow. 5/7
Mood: Really tired and fatigued but otherwise good. Today was my day to be the parent helper in Michaela's class ... it was really fun! I wanted to nap this afternoon, but Michaela wouldn't, so we played Math War (instead of a regular deck of cards, they each have a short math equation) and she did great with the easy math (basic addition and subtraction ... keep in mind she is 4!!)
Matt wanted to go to Goose Pond tonight ... I did not get his note until early afternoon since I was gone all morning ... and I'm just so tired. So we didnt' go ... I think he's pissed ... but what can I do? I told him we'd go if he really wanted to, but he said no that he didnt' want to stress me out. So now he'll "punish" me by ignoring me all weekend ... whatever ...
I'm almost done with my book ... I got motivated to read it after Mahler's MMMM about hiking the AT ... "A Walk in the Woods" by Bill Bryson ... a truly great book if you've never read it. Since I've hiked a lot of the New England sections of the AT, I am really enjoying it. Having done a lot of backpacking, it is neat to read about his experiences. Going to go read and off to bed ...
