Hey, I was promised a picture of a perfect tree and I don't see one! I love when they go up but hate to take them home in January. Do you cut your own tree? That's our preference.
Did you survive the ice too? I'm glad we're more snowy than icey all winter; those tv reports always look wicked and I kind of enjoy electricity.

As requested ... sorry it took a few days ... haven't been feeling good ... I have a cold and some mild GI symptoms ...
This was taken last weekend in New Hampshire ... you might recognize it as the view from my dock ... of course with the water lowered, there are a lot more rocks visible!!!
It was sooooooo cold and the girls were trying to get warm under the dock!!
Here is our tree at the tree farm before we cut it down ...
And after in our living room, all decorated ...
This is the ice we got earlier this week ... that is still lingering on some trees in my yard ... this was taken the morning after the storm when the sun came out and made everything sparkle.
No workouts and eats have been sucky ... my life is in the toilet in more ways than one ...

Julie: Hope your life is soon above ground and on the right track. The views in your life are pretty gorgeous though (not to mention your babies too!)

Hey Julie...sorry you're feeling under the weather. I really hope the New Year brings you some better days. On the bright side...that is one spectacular tree! It's real and it's perfect.

Thanks guys ... just bummed about Matt and everything related to that ... mental illness is so difficult to deal with ... most days I deal pretty well, but the past few days have been really rough. I did speak to his psychiatrist and we are switching him to a different therapist. We will also be discussing his medication and whether it should be switched. Matt is being very distant and I don't know if it is the medication or the illness ... it is rather painful though. Really I shouldn't complain ... there are many who have it much worse than me. But as Matt stated yesterday, he certainly is not now the man I fell in love with. I replied, no, he is not, but then again, I probably am not either ... no one is as time goes on. But I told him that I did sign on for better or worse, in sickness and in health and that I loved him and knew he would be coming back to me ... and that I am patient and willing to wait. It's just kind of lonely in the meantime, especially this time of year. At least I have my girls to keep me distracted!!

Hang in there Julie -- you've really got a great attitude and spirit in dealing with this. And, yes, we all do change over the course of time. Some good, some not so. We adjust and grow because of these changes. Stay strong.

It is really hard to get the medication locked in in the beginning, but it can get him back to you.

Hey Jules! So so sorry that things aren't good with you and Matt. For 18 or 20 months after Samantha was born I struggled with MAJOR mental illness and I am certain that RL felt the things that you are feeling now, but the good thing is that after we got meds worked out, I was more like the person we both remembered...not exactly, but definitely closer than I had been in a while. I hope that the same rings true for you guys.
Praying for you and the girls and Matt this holiday season!

I'm sorry to read that your DH is going through another bad episode again. This time of year is notorious for it, and often times January and February can be worse. If anything your marriage will get stronger from it. One day the both of you will remember it as a distant bad memory.

Julie... I cannot offer anything more than my best wishes for you and yours this holiday. But I will add to the others my recommendation for you to make sure you take extra special care of yourself right now. Get lots of sleep and eat healthy. Not because you care about weight or fitness but because you need to be strong right now in every way. Take walks when you can and get some alone time in.
Your girls and home are beautiful btw. Thanks for sharing that.
