Workouts are lookin' good Roland! You getting all bulky yet or are you still ripshizzled?
Ha! I'm somewhere in between, I guess. I'm going to have to bulk a little less going forward. I'm adding a little fat as I go. I know I can take it back off, but I want to minimize it.
Mmmmm real homemade root beer with homemade vanilla scream creme. One of my favorite ways to have fun with dry ice ( shhhh I was a chemistry geek in college)
A1, DB Incline Press, 60 (4/4/4/4/4/4) - I thought I'd be stronger, but the bottom half of this lift is weak for me.
A2, Standing DB Row, 100 (4/4/4/4/4/4)
A3, DB Split Squats, 35s (4/4/4/4/4/4) - very, very hard at the end
B1, Alt DB Bench, 60 (8/8/8)
B2, BB BO Row, 185 (6 - too heavy), 155 (8/8)
B3, Pullthroughs - Medium Stance, 150 (15/9/12) - I think my stance was inconsistent. Wider = tougher for me. Medium wide next week.
C1, Incline Hammer Curls, 20 (12/12/10+2)
C2, Lying DB Tri Extensions, 20 (12/10+2/8+4)
Hey, are you going to take before/after shots to show the results of all this correctional work + teh bulk? Would be cool to see what kinds of results you'll get. Workouts are looking awesome! Galya & Julie seem to know their stuff.
That's a good idea. I'll go back in time this weekend and take some.
I know there are some, but I don't know how useful (read interesting) they are. They were to show some sort of angle of something when I moved something else in one (or was it the other?) direction. I still don't know what they were actually testing for. I probably have hip displasia like a golden retriever, but they called it something super wordy and smart sounding (them smart, not me smart).
The VHS tape that comes with it is just a loop of some dude screaming, "GIT SUM! ALL YOU, BRO, ALL YOU!" and a special guest appearance by Ric Flair and his trademark "WOOOOOOOO!"
Yeah.

On the chinup plan, I plan to do sets of 8 many times a day. I used to be able to do a set of 13 as a max when I was 185, but at 195 I max out at about 11. So 75% multiple times a day for a couple weeks, then we'll see what happened.
Today's workout...
A1, Single Leg RDLs (8/8/8) - terribly wobbly toward the end of set 2 and 3
A2, Pushups w/feet on bench (20/15/15)
A3, Hanging Knee Crunch (6/5/4/5)
B, Split Squat ISO with Single Arm Cable Row (whew...). 50lbs (16/16/16) - I do 8 left, 8 right, the split squat the other way and repeat - talk about torture to hold that split squat position... OMG
I am seriously impressed with the mental stamina that the split squat with row takes. Glad you got done with it, so you are off it for a few days. Nastiness. Awesome push ups.
