That's right. Burn extra calories. But, to be honest, it's probably trivial. I feel better after having walked two miles. Both better about myself and physically better/loosened up.

Hmmmm.... is this supposed to be like a nice, easy stroll? I would think trucking along with an extra 25# might constitute, oh, I don't know... work?

Yes, it was a nice, easy stroll. No huffing and puffing. No panting. If I had a dog, I would have walked it. That might have caused overtraining, though.

You know, I used to weigh a lot more than this. A lot more than me + 25lbs, too.

Ok, here's my workout for today. It coincides with big eatin'. Really big.

A1, Squat, 3x8, 225 (hard)
A2, DB Squeeze Press, 3x8, 60lbs

B1, RDL, 3x8, 275
B2, DB Row, 3x8, 70

C1, Hammer Curls, 3x8 (+rest pause on last set), 30
C2, BB Genulflectios, 3x8 (+rp), 135
C3, Alternating Elevated Pushups, 3x12x2 (+rp)

He can't get a dog. It would make drunk cat angry.

Good work on the squats and genuflections, Roland. Serious load there.

That is a serious load. How do you manage to hold the barbell on your back and cross yourself at the bottom of the genuflection?

Takes a bit of a shoulder dip. And, of course I have to cross Eastern Orthodox style for half so I don't get a repetitive stress injury.

Today's workout.

A1, GHRs, 10/7/6/5/4/4 (That's 10 on the first set! Twice as many as last time! Yay!)
A2, DB Clean & Push Press, 4x70/4x70/4x70/4x70/4x70/4x70

B1, trx pistols, 6/6/5/5
B2, chinups, 11/8/7/5

C1, face pulls (from high), 90lbs, 20/19/20
C2, pushups (narrow), 20/20/17

D1, rope high pulls, 5x100, 6x130, 6x130, 6x130
D2, EZ Bar Curls, 12x50, 8x60, 7x60, 7x60

I'm really happy about the GHRs! I'll be honest. They hurt and they are really hard. Last week I only got 5 because our l'il buddy can do 20! I would have given up at 3, but pressed on and paid the soreness price for the week.

But, this week I knocked out twice that amount. So, I'm gaining. I know, I know. Now, she added a f'ing weighted vest to rub salt in the wound. But, how much can she and that stupid vest weigh? I'm 193. Let's do the math... I still have plenty of work ahead of me. It's the little, trivial things that drive me...

This was a great workout. Very happy.

Not that you're competitive or anything but... great workout! I've not attempted GHR's yet as I doubt I have the strength to move my bodyweight like that yet. Good job on pushing trough.

You'll improve really quickly with the GHRs. I think the first time I tried them I could only do 7 or 8. I got to 12 pretty quickly and then all of a sudden I hit 20. Don't worry, you'll catch up.

Unfortunately, I don't think I've done better yet. Her attitude is annoying :p , but her attitude about working out is inspiring .

But, all you chicks (Tina, Galya, Tony, Jill, etc.) are inspiring to me. Each in your own way...

It's sarcoplasmic hypertrophy AND I'm happy to see you!

My quads are up 3/4 of an inch (each) since I started all this squattin'

Yay for me.

(And no, I'm not fatter. Thanks for asking.)
