Yep. I'm following the calorie recommendations in Leigh's OPT plan. Just not doing the workout. The macros are hard to hit. I can do higher carb or lower carb. The middle of the road crap is hard to manage. I don't cook that way. It's tough.

About 5lbs down from the start.

5lbs is good. You weren't fat to begin with (fatter than you'd like, but not carnival\point and laugh fat). How long have you been in on it?

Stupid portion control . What kind of calorie range are you looking at? I don't recall Leigh's stuff really calorie cycling a great deal?

I"m two and a half in. Cycling happens, but it only changes macros and deficit percentage every few weeks.

The formula/activity levels are in FLTS, but I'm following the suggested ratios, deficit, and cycle periods that are in the OPT program. OPT is 12 weeks long, with ups/downs and a break at the end.

Corollary to Murphy's law of "anything that can go wrong, will." If you do something stupid on the interwebs, stupid HowdyDoodie boy will find you and pwn you.

Why aren't you doing the OPT workouts?

Maybe your workouts are too strenuous for the calorie restriction ...

I don't have a swiss ball.
I'm not giving her the satisfaction.
OPT is for chicks!

Anyhow, I think my workouts are less strenuous. Look.

A1, Alt DB Bench, 65 (8/8/8)
A2, DB Row, 85 (8/8/8)
A3, Bench Pistols, +1 plate (11/11/11) - the last set was sorta ugly

B1, Goblet Squat, 105 (6/6/6)
B2, Flexed Arm Bent Knee Raise (6/6/6/6)
B3, Lying Ext Rotation, 10 (12/12/10)
B4, EZ Bar Curl, 60 (12/12)

See?

You think I'm impressed by all those bench pistols! I sort of am, but I kind of do those every time I get off my ass.

Meh. His lean legs give him an advantage. Try chinups with my tree trunks dragging you down.

I posted this question over in Tom (Stingo's) log, but wanted to be sure I asked you here.

You talked about losing 100+ pounds -- is that true??

Forgive me if you've already talked about it and I missed it in your fifty-something-thousand-page log . . .

75lbs. I was 235 and fat, then I got down to 160 and still a little to puffy. I zig-zagged my way up and down to where I am now. I'm about 190 right now. Someday, I'd like to be up over 200 and this level of leanness. We'll see.

is your fitday still public? The site is making me sign in before letting me see it - and if I didn't have an account ...? (just checking for fried bologna sandwiches)

I don't know. Weird. I'll play around.

There's no bologna sandwich on there, though. I haven't kept up the fitday, just logging on a pad of paper that I drag around. Pretty much the same foods all the time right now.

I figured as much - but I did see the sandwich mentioned in your blog. I went and made a LC pizza in defiance!

Hey Roland ... got some really really really good info this weekend at the FMS course ... lots of good stuff to "fix" your dysfunctions and keep you from hurting something else.

(Still waiting ... )

What!?!? You didn't get it... Maybe you haven't checked the spam folder. (as he slinks off to charge his camera batteries)

That's an awesome pic!

Those sammiches are the best. I miss them. They're up there with grilled cheese and tomato soup, white rice w/eggs and bacon, egg banjos, peanut butter and banana sandwiches... I'm hungry now.

You know what else is good? Pink and whites. I need some of those.

Great. I have no idea what this is and can't come up with any possibilities that aren't incredibly dirty.
