If my case is the same, then I got screwed! My customs were $300.
Glad you're getting some relief.
Are you doing any general regeneration work (foam rolling, stretching)? I wouldn't wish you any tissue issues.
It depends on what the issues are. I guess mine can be taken care of with $30 ones. He said my custom ones would come out pretty close to the OTC ones.
Ah, I see. Where does the rolling hurt you? My right quad and IT band always hurt to roll, but I guess that makes sense after a hip dislocation and two knee dislocations.

Over Pronation Definition - Over-pronation, or flat feet, is a common biomechanical problem that occurs in the walking process when a person's arch collapses upon weight bearing. This motion can cause extreme stress or inflammation on the plantar fascia, potentially causing severe discomfort and leading to other foot problems.
I don't care how BOLD you put it, my PODIATRIST and MY GP both said that they aren't actually flat feet. They showed me pictures of feet, some of which were not flat. Mine look like those. They appear to be flat because I over pronate.
He says I over pronate because I'm too tight. I'm sure this is news to you all, but I'm tight all over. I over and under everything. Nothing is as it should be where flexibility and mobility is concerned.
Just so you know, I'm going to argue the semantics of this issue til the cows come home. I don't want flat feet, so I don't have them.

Oh, and tell foot.com to shove it.
Speaking of too tight...

You? Tight? Really? (can you hear the sarcasm dripping off my words? )
Now, don't shoot me ... but since you've now had SEVERAL professionals tell you that you are tight ... it might be a good idea to take some time off (2-3 weeks) and focus solely on mobility/flexibility work including foam rolling/lacrosse ball work. Focused/concentrated/daily work will give you good gains in that and a 2-3 week layoff on lifting isn't going to cause you to go all soft and weak. JMO. Which you will likely ignore.

It's cute, like his own version of the glass slippers.
So he'll be dancing with Prince Charming! 'Course California's cool with that these days...

These new insoles and the magic arch strap are awesome on the feet. I'm walking a ton and the PF is still soooo much better.
Glad to hear that your treatment is working... it took me a year and a half to recover from PF. I ended up with $400 custom orthotics, cortisone shots, a custom made ankle brace w/ orthotic built in, and a boot to wear at night that was a heck of a lot less comfortable (and a lot heavier) than that ankle strap you've been wearing. Sucked.
"As far as (healthy) eating, either do it, or don't. Same issues repeated over and over is just insanity. We either commit to the endeavor or pay lip-service to it. This is the hardest part of the whole process, and it needs to be practiced more than the actual physical training. It's mind training." ~ Matt Thorne

Yikes. I'm hoping this keeps working!
Took a little trip into DC today. Went to the Basilica, Washington National Cathedral, Lincoln Memorial, Washingon Monument, Arlington National Cemetery, Starbucks, and the Marine Corp Memorial. There were no snakes.
No workout today, but I did some more walking around campus. A few miles and zero captured snakes. One frog.
