Went to the jacuzzi with the boy, afterward. Felt good. We didn't stay long, as we looked up to see very dark clouds. By the time we got back home, lightning was flashing around us!
Yes, the problem with Chuck's etc is that they don't support your already injured plantar fascia (PF from here on out). So while it is injured, wear some cross trainers. When it is no longer sore, or just mildly sore, you can start stretching etc. BTW, were you skipping rope in your Chucks? If so, even Ross says this is a big no-no ... too much stress on the bottom of your foot. Wear your cushie cross-trainers for all rope skipping. Or maybe those high-top cool Reebok aerobic sneaks from the picture on your blog ... you know, the ones you are wearing with the acid-wash jeans and the permed mullet.
Didja notice my "title"? You never commented if you did ... thanks ... and I did it just for you ...

1) if you ever wear your gloves again, I'll start calling you Nancy like I do alco.
2) your hands will eventually toughen up, just give it time. and learn to love calluses.
I don't even take the gloves with me anymore. My hands hurt.

Good call.

I'm planning on the lame gym yoga in the morning. We'll see how that goes.

I had not noticed the title! Awesome. You're totally forgiven and I love you again.
I've never jumped rope in my chucks. At home, I do it in my cross trainers. I have done it in my Nike Free 5.0s, but only at the gym on a padded floor. Is that bad, too?
My mullet wasn't permed, though. That's how my hair is when it's long. Guilty on the acid wash...

Henceforth in this thread I shall replace "muggy Roland tuckus" with "Mr. T".

I meant for all future conversations about PF, so I don't keep having to type out PF!!!
Dumbasss. Don't you want to save yourself from having to type Plantar Fasciatis? PF is easy! PF PF PF PF PF. See? Easy.
The squats were pretty hard. I had the bar down as low as possible. It hurt a bit, but it wasn't all that bad. I could see my left knee flaring out in the last few reps on the last two sets. I don't think that's good, right?
Wow, I guess I haven't read your log since last week. Sorry!!!
When I don't wear gloves, I find myself buying more hand lotion. This week I had to get the "udder balm" so dh could use it too. Otherwise, DD loves to give us "satin hands" treatments with the kit from Mary Kay. Dh even agrees that it's good. You could do the same thing by coating your hands in olive oil (or canola, but it's not a good source of fat! LOL) then using sugar (no splenda) to scrub them. Rinse it all off and put on a good hand lotion. It really does help.
How was yoga? I was thinking of going this week as well. Must be the new trend.

Yeah, when I first injured my calf back in December, I was jumping rope in my chucks like a dumbass.
Oh, and that picture with the acid washed jeans and your twin brother...I would have totally beat you up in high school.
Yes. There were many hotties. Of course, I don't think the puddles of sweat dripping off of me were attracting them. It was really, really hard.
I hope you wore your baggy shorts so it wasn't too noticeable.

God Gawd how can a dude that moves 125lb sand bags around for fun be considered weak?
Just weak at the end range of some of these movements. I'm not even sure what muscle to point to (not that I could, since I'm inflexible), since my whole shoulder and upper back are fried at the end of my appts.

It was a beautiful day, but it was hazy. In person, you could see a lot more detail. The haze looks a lot thicker in the pics.
We were in the Santa Monicas, so the above shot shows downtown LA, in the distance.
This is off the other direction. It looked really, really green
yesterday. The pics don't do it justice.
My riding partners.
me and my ears.
Easter Workout
A, DB Split Cleans and DB Split Snatches. Just a lot of practice for a warmup. Cleans were two 35s and Snatches were 50-65lbs. It's hard to drop into a deep split position with a weight over your head. Practice...
Dude, I've got the exact same ears as you. When I was born, my grandmother said "good thing his uncle is an ear doctor". True story. Anyway, what are you gonna do, right?

She's a long time coworker (although rarely actually seen, since we cover two different areas) and a new riding buddy. We only recently discovered that we both ride, so we started riding together after all this time. Unfortunately, she's moving to Seattle next month. So, I'll need a new riding buddy again...
BTW, our beautiful weather is bumming her out. 75 and sunny yesterday, 50 and overcast/raining (again) at the Space Needle. She's excited about the move, but still...

Yikes. Thanks Grandma...
My ears are more a conversation piece, these days. The less hair I have, the larger they loom. I'm lucky I don't have my dad's nose to go along with these things.
When I meet someone new, I just acknowledge their existence so we can move forward with the relationship. The elephant ears in the room, so to speak...
Once I had a blind date. The txt message to her was: "BTW, I'm tall, devastatingly handsome, dressed in black, with ears that are better to hear you with. Just in case they're are two handsome guys there..."
Oh I don't know.... Speaking as a girl and looking at that picture... I was drawn immediately to the pecs definition I could see behind the T-shirt. The ears did not even come into my vision.
I remember well my days of riding and hiking in those hills and of the awesome winter weather in that part of the world. I miss some things about it but too many great things about the PNW to go back. Too bad about your friend though...

I just swing the other way and totally ignore them. As long I make sure to leave my hair fuller on the sides when I get a haircut, I'm good to go. People don't tend to notice in my opinion unless you point them out.(same goes for alot of body/face flaws, ect)

I'm curious. Why not just delete that post? Why just edit it?

I have no delete powers. If a mod could delete it for me, that'd be great!

I assume tenderness could come from the rehab exercises. I mean, the principle at work is that you're building up very weak areas, and that's gotta induce some soreness, I would think.
