Chinese place here makes eggplant stirfried in a hot garlic sauce. Excellent. (Wish I knew how they did it...)

Do you salt the eggplant and drain it, or just cook it directly? I've never been able to figure out if the salting process is worth it.

I never salt and drain. Too much trouble and my eggplant is rarely bitter. Back when I salted and drained, I still got some bitter ones. Personally, I think it's a myth, but who am I? We need Cook's Illustrated to figure it out.

I don't buy eggplants from a store so it might be different in some way. I grow them in my garden and never have a bitter problem as long as I pick them at a fairly young age. When they get older, they get bitter and the skins toughen.

I had a pretty crappy workout. No energy.

A, Power Cleans, 0x0, I pretty much gave up and dropped these. They felt awkward and slow

B1, RDLs, 3x12, 225
B2, Hammer Curls, 3x12, 25

C1, Squats, 2x15-20, 135 +
C2, Rope Pulldowns, 2x15-20, 80+

Seems like the fast, power stuff was crap, but I was okay on the rest. I hit all 2x20 in squats and pulldowns, so next week they go up again.

Blah.

because you never got back to my PM. I wasn't sure if I said something you didn't like, or if you were just getting me back

Don't apologize, it's not a big deal.

I just wanted to make sure I didn't offend you somehow. I did poke fun at women, who knows if you took that personally

haha

Thanks, Milko!

Had a good workout, but I didn't feel all that good while I was doing it. I've been hungry all day, but when I eat, I don't feel so hot. Blah.

A1, DB Cleans, 3x8 (each side), 85lbs
A2, Renegade Rows, 3x8 (each side), 30lbs (I need to bump this way up).

This combination is a devastating one. If you want to really feel like you're going to die, in a good way, do that combination. You just have to do the cleans heavy. You should barely be able to do the last one and jump HARD to get it up there.

B1, Sumo Deadlift, 3x8, 275
B2, Pushups, 3x12

C1, Chest Supported Row, 3x8, 90
C2, EZ Bar Curls, 3x10, 60

I couldn't get into the deadlift groove. Each set was like I was struggling to find my movement again. Frustrating.

On C, I just wanted to hurry up and be done. Go home and eat.

Done. Blah.

A friend of ours at church told me last week she was going to have an MRA. I responded, "Really? I have another friend having one done, on his shoulder. Those injections don't sound like fun."

"What injections!!!?!?", she asked in a panic. I didn't realize she was having a cranial MRA. Oops. She was picturing herself with needles going into her temple, I think.

I believe the difference in terminology is where they inject the dye ... arthrogram means into the joint ... contrast MRIs used to just be injected into the bloodstream (I had one on my neck/head a number of years back).
