OK...no lie--I LOVE these cats. Fugly, but so fugly they're adorable. They cost like 1K each, BTW.
Fug that! Too fugly. That thing looks like a bat! In fact, it could be the offspring of a mating between Batman and Catwoman. Look at the furrows in its forehead! You could plant wheat! Last time I saw something that fugly, it was on a cave expedition segment in the deepest darkest recesses of the amazon on NatGeo. I think it attacked someone, or maybe it just pooped in their backpack.
I'll take normal siamese (not the show type). I like fur on my kitties and no, I'm not being durty (as Aoife put it).
Shoulder crap. My DH has it too, old firefighting injury. We are avoiding orthos and surgery for the moment and starting with the therapeutic massage route. It's not fun massage, it's hurty massage, but injections and surgery don't have a good track record for fixing shoulders so we reasoned those to be a last resort. My two cents, your mileage may vary I hope you get a fix for it.
My mother put up a window perch for her cat too. That thing loves it. And yes, I like cats. This is my ideal pet:

Oh yeah. I've read more Heinlein than any other single author.
"The Past Through Tomorrow" (collection of shorts based on many of his novels, following a time ordered progression)
"The Cat That Walks Through Walls"
"The Moon is a Harsh Mistress"
"Time Enough for Love"
"Stranger in a Strange Land"
"Starship Troopers"
The Siamese lookin' one is Mayo. Jack is the tabby. Allie is the human.
I have to say that I was going between a tabby and another Siamese style guy when I was picking out Jack. My friend told me that tabbies are the best, nicest, and most loving cats. I didn't really buy it, because I figured two cats from the same litter... How different could they be? But, I took her advice and snagged Jack. Boy was she right!
This cat is attentive like a dog (for good or bad). He follows me around all day just to hang with me. He doesn't give my kids the time of day, though. But, I have to flip him on his back and hold him like a baby for 10 or 15 minutes a day, or he's just not satisfied.
Now, during the "I don't believe it" period, I did some checking around. The jury's out on the whole niceness thing, but I have to go with my gut here and say that this cat is the most affectionate cat I've ever had.
I also learned that most tabby cats are male (3:1), since that orange color is in the x chromosome and dominant. The same gene causes calico-ness, too. But, virtually every calico is female. A male calico is a mutant that has a second x chromosome in some cells or is an "xxy" little guy. And, for a cat, gay. nttawwt. Oh, and he's sterile.
Oh, and white cats with blue eyes are usually male, and often deaf. If they have one blue and one non-blue eye, they are likely to be deaf on the blue side. Weird. Probably why we don't see a lot of white lions with blue eyes on safari.
Next subject.
I used to like Robert Heinlein, but he's hard to take, now. Too much weirdness in there. They might not all be like that, but I gave up. I've read Troopers multiple times (and will again), Time Enough for Love and Stranger in a Strange Land twice each, but I can't even get through 1/4 of Cat Who Walks Through Walls.
I'll take Larry Niven, Jerry Pournelle, David Drake, Robert Sheckley, Ray Bradbury, Fred Saberhagen, and a sprinkling if Isaac Asimov.

Workout. It was awesome. Great workout. Lots of energy.
A1, DB High Pull from floor, 3x8x2, 80lbs
25s rest
A2, Renegade Rows, 3x8x2, 25lbs (up 5lbs)
25s rest
I have a dog-cat as well, a cornish rex--and a colorpoint shorthair (basically a temperature-sensitive mutant, a variant of one of the oculocutaneous albinism syndromes in which the cooler extremities will produce color because the enzymes involved are functional at the distal, cool tips of the body. Weird science!). Toonsis--the rex--is the friendliest damned cat I've ever encountered. Bela is needy--but only w me. He's scared of everyone else.
Here's my guys (please ignore the mess, I was still moving in).
Oh how cute. I have to get my camera out. Right now my schnauzer and my orange male tabby (who thinks he is a dog) are cuddling up against me and each other in slumber. I love the furry ones.
Pig is definately a "dog-cat" as well. He is my constant companion during the day (I work from home most days) and he is always with me! Follows me around like a puppy, and even plays fetch from time to time!!
Here's my boy - He's a lynx point siamese. When I got him as a baby, he was cream colored and had really light points.

Tina, that albino has the body structure of a siamese show cat.
Jill, Otis looks like he's still a kitten, at adolescent age.
He is, basically, but the CFA doesn't recognize red point siamese, so he's a colorpoint shorthair. Toonsis is a little mutant show kitty too.
Hahaha! Roland, I know, right? How shocking that I like Nicole Ritchie-like cats.... they actually are both fat comparitively--Bela's up 3-4 lbs from his "ideal" show weight and Toonsis is up 2#. Too many treats!
I can't find any pictures on my puter of my cat ... I just burned everything to disk ... I'll find some tomorrow and share ... she's beautiful, but about the meanest cat you've ever met. We actually warn people not to pet her! And our previous vet thought we should put her down! But she's not mean with us ...

When I first moved out on my own, I had a little cat named Sport. I hated that cat. He wasn't nice with anyone. Me, included. His vet thought he was disturbed and suggested that he be sent to a little farm upstate. Instead, three words. Cat Rescue Society. Good riddance.
I had a great workout tonight. I'm not happy with some of the numbers, but what can I do?
A1, Squat, 6x4, started at 235 and had to bring it down to 215.
A2, EZ Curls, 6x4, 85
Corner squat/press and rows are where you have the plates on one end of the bb and the empty end jammed into a corner.
Not really happy with the squats, but what can you do? It's annoying. My lifting buddy said that I'm squatting differently. I'm more upright AND using a narrower stance. Who knew? I guess it pays to have someone watch you over time.
So, while I'm glad my form seems better, the numbers are giving me love. Except for the rack pulls. Happy there.

My sister had a cat years ago that was truly PSYCHO!! It would attack EVERYONE in the house, it ate all the fur off it's own tail - just psycho! Vet ended up having to put the cat down cuz it was so crazy!

We'll never know with certainty, but I think animals are just as suspectible to mental issues, much like huamns. That means psychosis, neurosis, depression, bi-polar, etc.

I would have to agree! They certainly do have different personalities, much like humans! For a while I had two cats, Pig and Misty. Pig has always been easy going, friendly, loves attention, but Misty was the one with the attitude -her name was actually "Miss T" which stood for "Miss Thang" cuz she had such a 'tude!
Good workout. I went back to the locker room after the cycling and saw my shiny new, taped up rope and decided to jump. I almost didn't because, of course, yoga was dragging on. I looked in on them, but they looked like they'd be a while. There was a guy in a unitard in there. Excellent.
But, I digress... I jumped in Stetch-ville, like last time. No problems. Went well. At one point, I jumped for over 300 jumps without tripping up. I can't double under, but I can do a lot of jumping back and forth, one foot, two feet, skipping, hopping, etc. My calves were on fire.
