I'm really sorry about your shoulder. Take the weekend off and rest and hopefully you will have some answers soon so you can work towards making it better. Have a good trip!

Awwww ... poor baby!! I'm glad that you had some bloodwork drawn ... obviously stretching hasn't helped, nor has increasing your minerals ... so good. Hope the PT can figure out what is going on with your shoulder. Make sure that he/she is thorough and looks at your neck too just to rule out that it might be a referred pain.
I think a week off will be good for you ... when you start falling apart, it's a sign that your body needs some rest!!!
Sending you some cyber-hugs because you sound so down!! ((((((Roland))))))

I really feel for ya man. Its one thing to know you have an injury but fight through it anyway, its another thing to not even really know whats going on.

Thanks everyone. It's nice to see so many kind words sent out. Means a lot to me.
I'm here in Virginia. My whole freakin class just went to bed, buncha pansies. I got here about 11pm EST, which is like 8 to me. Plus, I slept for 2-3 hours on the planes. I'm wide awake and they all get sleepy (and drunk), since they've been here, and drinking up, since 5 or so. They are all from this time zone, so I can't really blame them. Of course, I'm the one who's going to have to get up at the equivalent of 3:30am in the morning. Who'll be laughing then? Them.
So, no cramps today. Yay.
My arm/shoulder was okay, but now it hurts a bit. I think it was the weird "getting up from a crowded airplane" motion that did it. You have to sort of push down on the armrest to stand up without tripping the Lurch-like flight attendant... (I've never seen a flight attendant so tall and ugly. Aren't there rules in place?). So, now it hurts. In a variety of places, too. My massive anterior delt is tender when I hoist a glass left handed, for instance.
So, it's been a while since I worked out. I'm not a big fan of time off, obviously. People who take time off are pussies with weak constitutions and no spine.
So, time to workout with limited arm work. I'll let my legs shoulder most of the load.
B1, DB Reverse Lunge, 3x12, 45lbs
B2, Cable Woodchop (High to Low), 3x12, 100lbs
Knee Tuck/Treadmill Intervals -- 10 jumps, then 50 seconds on the treadmill, times 10
I found a sucker to play racquetball with tomorrow night, assuming we can finish class and dinner in time. Otherwise, Monday! In case anyone's wondering, I'm right handed, and my left side is the bad side.
roland - are you still looking locally for KB? I saw some yesterday at Busy Bodies in NB (on Bristol near Jamboree) - they only had really little & one pretty Big out on the floor but I'm sure they stock the in between sizes as well - or maybe have them at another location.
Sorry about the shoulder Roland. Hope you are able to get to the bottom of the problem soon!

Good to know. I'm not looking to get any at the moment. I'll wait until the shoulder is better. I'd be too tempted to play hard with it.

Thanks! It's feeling pretty good today. But, I haven't been doing anything to make it act up, either.

I like the way you think. And no. No costume. Just ugly.
I wasn't ruthless enough. The guy (Guy A, we'll call him) is 280lbs. He beat me in game one, but he was winded in game two, so I dominated. But, before game three, I thought he might die, so I suggested a water break. What a mistake. He got his wind back and barely beat me. Then, we were done. Only after a five minute rest outside, he said "how 'bout one more game." It was 21/19. Pretty close.
I'm playing another guy tonight (Guy B). He's a heavy smoker. So, I have a chance. He's on high blood pressure meds, too.
Dang, I haven't checked in for a while and missed the cramps, the ugly and the raquetball. Roland's world moves fast. Like the quote from a great western:
"Don't know where we're goin', but no sense bein' late."
Good luck in your game against Keith Richards.

The guy wussed out. The group wanted to study for the test tomorrow, so they studied out here in the common area. My God...
Look, you want to stress out about a test given at the end of class, go for it. What are they going to do to you if you don't pass the test? Am I going to have to come back and take the class again? Somehow, I doubt it. At worst, they would tell me to study up and take the test again? Someday? Maybe?
"Okay, we need five key differentiators between x and y."
Me. "It's a multiple choice test. On a computer..."
"But, we need to be able to list at least five."
So, apparently, we need a class on what multiple choice means.
"We need to be able to explain what a Device Profile Link is."
Me. "Why? For our job or for tomorrow?"
"If we say that the "Device Profile Link" is a key differentiator, we might get asked to explain what it is."
A computer that asks ad hoc questions and is capable of understanding the answers. I guess HAL is administering the test. Welcome to 2001.

You won't get your fancy 50 cent certificate!
