If by rice yogurt, you mean from rice milk, my guess would be no. But what do I know?
Roland: What is the purpose of bringing the milk up to a super high temp and then letting it cool as opposed to only bringing it up to the desired temp?

Heat denatured proteins bond together better under fermentation, so there's less separation of the whey. So, thicker yogurt with less "runoff."
mmm fresh thick yogurt. I found the most amazing honey from new zealand--it has a bit of a floral undertone. homemade yogurt, crushed walnuts, honey---one of the yummiest desserts on the planet!
Plus you need to kill any beasties that came in the milk so that when you culture it, only your desired beasties are there to multiply.
That's true. I think that's at 145 degrees. I wish it were only that high, because 180-190 is really close to boiling over if you don't watch things. It got ugly once because I wasn't standing there and watching. I had to make cheese, instead.

Sounds good. I like yogurt with honey and cardamom a lot.

Here's a friend of Chris's taking 1st place in the long cycle.
At this point, I don't think I can hold the rack position for 10 minutes (guys use two 24kg bells), much less do this.

That was a 12kg in the above video, btw.
Part depends on what you're going to teach them. For renegade rows, it helps to have two of the same size, since the handle heights aren't always equal between weights. I can use a 16 and a 24, but one's about an inch shorter AND I need to do all one hard, then rotate around so the other bell is with the other hand. I bought a 2nd to make life easier AND be able to swing alongside a client, have more than one client, two handed work, etc.
A couple of 4s, 8s, and a 12 (or two, depending). For most newer fat loss clients, swinging one 16kg is pretty tough for more than 30 seconds.
We should have plenty of weights and people new to kettlebells when we meet up in a few weeks, so we can see things in action, too. If you don't want to wait that long, we can talk live.
He doesn't say what his goal is there. The bands must be to break through some sticking point. There are different styles and philosophies on kbs. It's weird, but there's "hard style" and a more fluid style. Pavel's style is the hard style and the IKFF isn't. I'm not sure where Mike Mahler falls. Then there are others, too.
Then the differences between swinging for the Sport vs swinging for fitness. I wouldn't teach a fat loss client to swing like I would someone who wanted to compete. Not because it wouldn't work for them, but because it's more technically challenging to learn. For fitness purposes it would only frustrate them and turn them off.
I've seen references to Hardstyle vs non. I was aware that RKC and IKFF are different in this regard, but I live in the frozen north where there is little kickin' around. Not none, but little.
I would have to try and make time to actually get to the one group practice I am aware of to see what they do. I know they make no mention of RKC or IKFF on their page.
And now I am officially curious, what sort of clients do you have Roland? I am not super in the loop on stuff so fill me in! Are you doing KB training on the side? Did you get any certs? Are you planning on it?
As for the swing, watching numerous vids I can see there is a certain amount of it going from a simple movement to a more complex one through subtle differences that are hard to see. I suspect I would need to be shown most of these differences in person.
I am self taught with the KBs so I am 99% sure my form really is not the greatest.

You should go to that practice. No matter what style they do.
I have a cert with the IKFF. I train one guy regularly and just write programs for a couple of others. I've done some beginner/intro kettlebell sessions for some gym friends, but currently, my job takes so much time that I can't take anyone on for regular sessions. So, I practice with people whenever I get the chance.

Set the Gymboss for ten 1 minute rounds. I wanted to see how long I could go with two 24s. Sets of 5 jerks, rest until the minute is up, repeat. I only made it three rounds, then it was too much, too soon. I set one bell down and from set 4 out, did 5 left, 5 right, rest, repeat. Still tough, but not the impossible of the two bells!
Note: not that sweat means all that much, but I haven't sweated in training this much in years. I like it.
Yeah, I love it. I especially like that you can set it for a set number of rounds and then it stops. Plus the vibrate feature, so it's not annoying in a gym.
I do think they made it pretty complicated to setup, though. They need to make version two, with a backlight, more buttons so it's more clear how to set things, and the ability to save multiple presets. It's a lot of work if you do different things a few times a week!
Yes, I totally agree!!! I still haven't figured out how to get it to stop after a set number of rounds. And, multiple presets would be sooooo nice!
Set it to "Auto 00 where it says "auto," "man," or "auto" with 00 in a box underneath it. Press change until it says Auto 00. Then you can the 00 to the number of rounds.
Once I figured out the two timers, part. So I could do five rounds of 60 seconds, with 30 seconds in between. For the life of me, I can't find it again. It would be great for Tabatas.
I wish it would 'auto off' after an hour, too. I always forget to turn it off and then it's beeping from my gym bag later (or just running the battery down).

Hmmm..I use it for Tabatas with the 20 sec (beep) 10 sec (beep) 20 sec (beep) set-up. Right now, I have it set up for just 60 secs intervals for both work and rest, so I blew away my tabata setting. Hope I can figure out how to get it back for that and for my HIIT intervals when I set it for 30 secs (beep) 90 secs (beep) 30 secs (beep), etc.

I had to blow away my 1 minute on, 30s off the other day. Scary!
I have a stopwatch/timer thing that I used to take into the gym during NROL workouts. I haven't put a battery in it in two years, and it doesn't look like it has solar/light power capability. But the dang beeper still goes off at 9:30 pm every night. 95% of the time my gym bag is in the car/garage so we don't even hear it, but sometimes it'll be in the house.
I haven't thrown it away or broken it yet in the hopes that the device holds the key to unlimited energy production.

I've never had a gymboss. My old Ironman only had a timer on it. Some of the new ones have up to 9 linked timers. Guess which ones I am aiming for this time around?
Not sure about set # of rounds like Roland is describing with the gymboss.
Oh and Roland. Two 24s is crazy Keep up the good work.

Way to kick ass man. I may give the two 16s a go and see how sad I am!
