Just got back from Santa Monica. It was a lot of fun, although I didn't really win. We are all winners, right?
Although my partner and I didn't win, she was seriously dominating today. She won the female kb snatch by quite a few snatches. I only got 66 and boy are my hands sore!
We came in 2nd in the partner wheelbarrow race by about 2 seconds. And we did really well in the metabolic circuit, where I don't think I tripped up on the 200 rope jumps even once. We did well on the sandbag getups. She got 18 and I got 13. The winners were 19 and 15 or 16. There are some seriously studly people out there.
Afterward, Chris, Aya, and I did some rope climbing, pullups, dips, etc. Chris did fancy stuff on bars that requires balance and core strength. He was alone on those.
Got to play with some battling ropes, too. Fun stuff.
Elizabeth brought 2/5ths of her family with her hang out. It was nice to see you guys again!
Way to go! You and your partner put up some great numbers.

Thanks everyone. It was a lot of fun. The best part is surrounding yourself with people that are fit. Some are more and some are less, but all were in good shape and could kick ass in one area or another. Runners, surfers, gymnasts, athletes (like actual athletes that play sports for teams), trainers, and serious trainees. It's worth finding a group and seeing how you all change over time. That's some motivation.
I'm covered with grass, sweat, sunscreen, and sand. ...and a small amount of blood. Awesome.
Grease The Groove - Chinups. Multiple sets of 6, many times per day. Today, so far, it's about 6-7 sets.
I've tried before, but I forget or get bored. I need someone to challenge or something. I can do 13 chinups, max. ONCE I did 15, but I lost it. Anybody around the same number and looking to improve?
Alco, I just remembered that pushup thing. I stopped and forgot. ...again.
Looks like the event was motivating Now you can start eating regularly again and hit all the high numbers!
Well, regularly for the next few weeks will be back to low again. I wasn't dieting for the competition, but I took a break from serious dieting to make the competition possible. Back to hungry! Who's with me?!?!
only for the rest of this week and next week through thursday. then it is friday carb up, and maintenance for me!!! I'll be hungry with you for the next almost two weeks though!

Me! I'm hungry.

Let's get some regular training session on the beach/gym happening. Luke mentioned he wants to get down there more too. What days/nights typically work better?
Give Dr. Santos a call. A little pain won't hurt ya none.
