Ah yes. I think we've used 4" diameter pipe. The ladies generally don't like 6
One of the best scenes in cinema history.

I think your body is very intelligent in autoregulating. Unlike other people, you don't push it with stimulants to overcompensate for lack of calories, and things work out pretty well in the end.
p.s. I just found some 160 cal cookies (tiny cookie, that's cals per cookie, you read right). We got your next bulk covered.

Thanks! I'm actually using less caffiene these days.

If there's protein in them, I'll just eat 20 of those a day when the time comes.

I meant to give it a better name. That's just how I had it in my program to remember what it was going to be. It's a pushup with my feet slightly raised on a box or like a 2nd stair step. Supposed to activate the serratus more.

And your 20 reps of inverted rows are pretty impressive! As long as it's full ROM breast-to-bar.
Yep! ...at least with 1-18. 19 to 20 were on the verge...
180.5 lbs, today. I feel like a chick, using the .5, but hey... That's -7.5 lbs since the 27th.
It's nice that I make progress when I stick to a program.
I've actually eaten this little before and made some progress, but I was sooo miserable eating 6 teeny tiny meals that I totally gave up and changed plans to ANYTHING but dieting. IF is a nice tool to help with this, ESPECIALLY given my (I want to use "penchance," but I don't want to be one of those people) tendency toward emotional eating at night, when I'm freakin' tired and still trying to make a work deadline so I can't just go to sleep.
So. I've done pretty well over the last week and a half. I will keep this up.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think this is going to be the first time under 180lbs since it was 2006. Back then, I remember being 175 and quite a bit less lean than I am now.
Like being a guy that is insecure about the size of his pipe
Congrats on the weight loss though, that is a great feeling.
Thanks!

Thanks! They came out looking REALLY good. I'm going to eat the lesser one tonight and try to photograph the other one tomorrow. I wish had your gift in that dept.
Tonight's 24 Hour Anecdote -- When I got to the squat rack to do superset C, there was a mobile phone left behind, plus the empty bar was laying on the floor. I asked everyone around me and no one had seen anyone for a few minutes. I warmed up and did a set of rows and waited a bit, just in case the owner was coming back. Nope. I did a set of each, took the phone to the front desk, came back and did another set. THEN the owner comes up all incredulous that I took to squat rack from him. He even said "wasn't the phone right there?" and "was the bar on the ground?" I nodded and asked him if he wanted to work in. He said he'd wait. I finished and waited for him to come back so no one would take the rack, but he didn't come until I got bored. Another guy came to do shrugs. Then the phone came back and looked annoyed at this guy, too.

2 of your competitors were in the gym today doing snatched and getups. Saw one of them do 10 getups in a minute so you are gonna be right up there.
Keep the 24hr stories coming.

There was a guy who used to lift where I did, and he'd always do these 6 or 7 exercise circuits, so there was about 15 minutes before he'd get back to a piece of equipment. But he would get SOOOO pissed if you moved his weights or worked in... even if you tried to ask if anyone was on that machine (he never spoke up!). We finally just nicknamed him Mr. Hammer - cuz his name was on all the machines so they must all be his...
Broland, I picked up a 30 foot rope so even more toys to play with. Battling ropes are fuuuun. You busy with kids this weekend?

Yes and no. Sunday, yes. Saturday I'm supposed to do some ocean kayaking in the morning. It's tentative, though. ...and I won't know until the morning.
Well if the kayaking doesn't happen call me. We're gonna hang and play round at Velocity.

Sorry I missed you. I'll see you on Saturday, though! My kids are thinking about coming to watch, so I could have a cheering section!
I had a quick workout out back. A poor substitute for training with a crew up at Velocity! It was really a lot of fun, last time. I will call you and we'll see if we can come up with a semi-regular schedule during the week.
Back to the workout out back...
Practice for next week's event
SB Getups. More than last week. I'm getting better!
DB Snatches. About the same, but I'm less dead at the end. We'll see how I do with a KB.
Rope Jumping. Got to 78 before I tripped up. Did a few rounds of 100.
The rest of the workout...
SB OH Press, 85lbs (6/5/5) -- totally inconsistent. Last week, same weight, but with a Clean/PP I was only doing sets of 3. Weird. Whatever...
DB Rows w/chains, 80 + chain (3/3/3/3/3)
Extended Range Pushups (15/12)
SB Lunges, 85 (6/6) - per leg
It felt short, but I haven't had a lot of food lately. that was all I had in me.
I don't know what the deal is. I can go all day until 5 or 6pm without food with no problem, but if I have lunch, which I did today, I NEED to eat again in a few hours. Sucks. I ate at 1 and HAD to eat again at 5!
I know what you mean. On my no-lunch days I can fly through to 6:30 pm. On lunch days I'm ravenous by 4pm.
It's a conspiracy in the digestive system.
ugh. This has been going on all afternoon. I'm thinking it might be a sign of not eating enough after yesterday's workout. I felt a little like this, last night so I went to bed. I was starving when I got up, but felt better after coffee, then lunch triggered that shaky, starving feeling.
prolly.
I get that way sometimes. It's irritating, and sometimes I ride it out and sometimes I cave… and it often doesn't seem to make a whit of difference. I mean, my scale results end up 50/50 anyway… and never the same correlation.
