+2. I DL today in my vibrams (one legged kettlebell DL) amaaaaazing. Balanced, steady, stable. My trainer hates how they look- reminds him of dirty feet. But he had to admit that they helped my workout
Totally ben. Have the sprint in slate/lime. Today I ordered the classic in black. After my workout today, I love these things so much am seriously considering working in them. The competitive jock girl personality is jockeying for control over the fashionista. I seriously believe these things could have a very positive impact on running performance.
Have you seen improvement in running speed or reduced injuries ben?

Yeah, he's down to one or two weird, random injuries a week now. That's probably as low as he'll go, though, because Vibrams can't keep him from dislocating an elbow while opening a jar...

I can't speak to running speed just yet since (a) I never really time it and (b) I'm just now getting past a stress fracture in my left foot. However, I do notice a big difference in calf and foot strength, balance, and general springiness in my feet. Not quite Snoopy frolicking, but close enough.
Tough call on the injuries, too, since I've been actively working on a TFL/ITB problem for several months, but I will say that nothing NEW has popped up since I started wearing them (and motorsports sneakers) almost exclusively (motorcycle riding still requires some Herman Muenstur steel toes), and I generally just feel more mobile and (for me) agile.

In the summer I almost exclusively wear them unless I *have* to be dressy, and yes, I've worn them with a dress. They're red, they'll go.
What is the difference between the models? If they are supposed to be like barefoot, how do different models vary? classic vs sprint vs flow?
Og.

covering on top. same on bottom.
classic had some problems for people in water and the like, so they added the strap for the sprint, and the flow is for colder weather/water/etc, as it's a full upper and better insulated (sprint and classic have a canvas upper).
Seriously though, I liked the climbing inverted row thing.

Classic = no top strap
Sprint = top strap
KSO = full top cover (mesh)
Flow = full top cover (Neoprene), thicker sole, some insulative qualities (for colder weather)

Am shopping all day on Sunday. Will wear my sprints and report in. Have decided to use them for the 3 mile run in my triathlon next month if I am able to work up to that distance. I do this or fun and not for time, so it will be an easy run
I copied Roland and got red. I was hoping for the KSO ones, but they only had classic and sprint in the store. They are weird. I am looking forward to lifting in them and I may try going for a walk this weekend depending on the weather.

One of my clients has a pair of the red Classics pictured above that he bought specifically for Burning Man.
You'd think nothing would phase anyone at Burning Man but he got lots of comments about his psychedelic footwear.
He had the damn things a year before I found out he had them and made him start wearing them to the gym.
Personally I prefer my taupe Sprints. Guess I'm secure enough to not need to scream for attention
