Nice job everyone!!

I'm getting back into the swing of things ... despite a weekend away my meals were mostly compliant (Saturday night we went out to dinner and had a little dessert after and a peartini with dinner ... otherwise compliant all weekend!!). Got my new log posted and am working on the tracker for my goals ... all in all going well ...

on the weekend:
1) no snooze - but no alarm either - just slept until I woke up
2) no undisciplined snacking in the afternoon
but ... a family birthday gathering on Sunday did make for off-plan dinner for me (the spaghetti, marinara, fruit salad, green salad, garlic bread, wine -- not many protein-rich low-carb choices .. plus there was birthday pie ... so I went for moderation - and had a chicken leg when I got home I think it was only 110F (that's 43.3C) where we had the party

This is a short week for me regarding my goal. I think I'll only be going into work 3 days, possibly even 2. But, I packed food again today to start off the new week. So far, I'm battin' a 100 for the challenge!!!

Getting all four workouts in this week is gonna be tough, since today was the first one. But surely I can fit on in on Saturday.

Eating was OK this past weekend. Not great, but not horrible either. Sure was good to have ice cream.

Today feels like monday to me??

Goal = At least 9 vege + fruit servings per day

Week 1 (8/27 - 9/2): Full Compliance

9/3 - 7 veges, 3 fruit = 10
9/4 - 8 veges, 2 fruit = 10

Egham, I'm looking for ways to include more veggies in my diet. How do you work veggies into your food plan?

Stingo:

One of the things I do is mix veggies into my eggs in the morning. You can do it as an omelette type deal (I saute up a bit of tomato, onion, Pepper and mushroom). You can also do a Frittata type deal. A lot of times I'll stick frozen french cut Green beans into the pan, get them warmed up and then put the egg mixture on top.

So far this week, things are okay. Sunday had a bit of a meltdown and got into the ice cream, but I've got decent groceries around now.

Paula's already suggested veges in your morning omelet....I usually enjoy sauteed peppers of all colors and spinach in mine.....Sometimes tomato too. I tried something a bit different this morning had a chopped fresh pineapple, spinach and salsa omelet....with cheese, of course. It was good!

I usually have spinach with lunch, either as a salad or in a wrap. At dinner, 2 veges, usually a spring greens or spinach salad with one of Mrs. Egham's homemade vinaigrettes, a cucumber-tomato salad, etc., plus some sort of vege cooked on the stove.

Mid-morning and again mid-afternoon, I'll eat a serving of raw veges, usually broccoli or carrots along with some sort of protein and perhaps some almonds.

I'll have a small amount of cottage cheese about 1/2 hour before bedtime and I'll have a serving of Greens+ with that if I've fallen behind on veges for the day.

Fruit I just grab anytime in between as I feel like munching on something.

I'm still keeping up w/the clean eating. My calories were a bit on the high side over the weekend, but I'm back to the cal/carb cycling again. Tonight I had a delicious omelette with pesto sauce and some chopped tomatoes. It was yummers.

....i don't like pesto.....

I did not pack my food today. I was mad this morning and just didn't do it. No excuse, I know. But, I did eat clean today. I hope I sleep better tonight and don't wake up in a hissy fit tomorrow morning!

Good news, I've been getting to bed on time and feeling great.

Bad news, it's putting a damper on my workouts. I haven't been doing hardly any. I need to find my groove again, but with the newer bedtime. *sigh*

2/2 on weight training this week
0/4 for eating clean.

Although the progress pictures tell me I need to stop dinking around with the food

Dead on here. Looking forward to something a wee bit greasy this weekend, though.

Carbs remain higher--today at 172 grams, protein much less at 111 grams and good ole fat at 43 grams. This is my mindless ratio; I can eat basically 40% carb, 30-35% protein, and 25-30% fat with almost no problem.
