Jamie, oh, I am so sorry that those insurance buttheads are stressing you out ... wish I had some good advice ... I'll just send a hug ... ((((((Jamie))))))

Yesterday went okay ... I ate on plan, but probably too few veggies as my meal timings were all off and I just grabbed some nuts for one meal. Didn't end up doing the TRX workout as I started feeling more poorly as the day wore on ... we also didn't get our new bed (I'll detail in my log). Slept like crap again last night on the Aerobed, but our bed should be here today. Throat is more sore today ... going to take it easy and just do some yoga ... don't want to fry my system with the TRX workout as part of my plan is listening to my body and not overdoing or pushing through as has been my issue in the past.

Also planning on getting my plan written out today ... might start the new log too ... we'll see ...

Day 3 - woke up before the alarm today - and Caleb (dog) made sure I didn't snooze by asking to go out - so put on some clothes & took them out - and got back 2 mins before the alarm -- so no Snooze today ! I'm taking something to work for afternoon snack today (can of G'day Tuna) so should be set there as well.

I found it at Gelson's - there is a store that is less gourmet & more neighborhood market that is walking distance from where I live - look carefully at the can in the photo - the "pop top" is actually a "pop bottom"

they add alot of oil (which I drain off) but the flavors are really tasty.

Day three -- check!

Thanks Julie for the hug, and Jill and Bill for the encouragement. I decided that we would have had to pay the deductible so I am not going to worry what exactly what it is I am paying for...as long as I'm not being double charged.

Onward and upward!

good for you on the check!
sometimes you do just have to let go of the tick/tie/contest on medical bills and just watchdog what you can - sounds like a reasonable plan to me -

Excellent. I recently got a rejection on a submission for my pre-tax medical savings reimbursement account. I'm on the phone with the guy and he's ready to hang up. I stop him and say "Wait! I've got like $3k more receipts to go to if you're not giving me that one." Sigh. "Fine... I'll accept it." Tada! (bastard)

I made it through another day while sticking to my plan. I'm traveling so that makes it extra hard. They delivered complimentary chocolate to my hotel room tonight. I actually walked it down to the lobby and threw it away so I wouldn't eat it. I know it's a waste...but c'mon this is a CHALLENGE.

Wow. I don't think I could have pulled that off!

Confession time... got home late last night after a recording session that wasn't great and a bunch of other frustrating things were going on as well. I had no meat thawed. Dinner became cookies and cottage cheese.

Today is better, though. So far 100% on.

Cookies and cottage cheese! Actually, sounds good.

I'm doing well on my trip so far in avoiding temptation. No desserts or crap yet. Hard to count calories while eating in restaurants, but I think I'm doing okay. If it weren't for this challenge, I would have eaten ALL of the complimentary chocolate.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around cookies and cottage cheese. Maybe it's because I like the saltier variety of cheese, but that just sounds ikky. I imagine some gross sammiching of the cc with the cookies...

*shudder*

It wasn't planned that well. Basically, I was really hungry and tired and the cookies were there (thanks, Mom). After scarfing several, I figured I shouldn't be eating nothing but junk. I opened the fridge in search of some sort of protein. Cottage cheese is always right there, no cooking or other fuss necessary, just grab a spoon and dig in. Voila, dinner. Simple as that.

All food packing quotas have been met so far.

I'm working from home tomorrow so food packing really doesn't apply, but I did stop at the grocery store on the way home tonight and replenished the fridge so there's plenty of food in the house for tomorrow.

Looks like everyone is doing great! Keep up the good work!!!

Thanks for confessing, Bill, it will make this a lot easier to say: I ate two crackers today and realized I could have eaten the ENTIRE box without blinking an eye. Darn those are good crackers and they make eating one absolutely impossible (almost! Thank goodness for my friends in the challenge!!!).

Today wasn't my best day...low energy all day long. Michael's been keeping me up tooooo late at night lately. Not tonight though! Workout was a bit of a bust...thought I had printed out w/o A on one side of the paper and B on the other, but what I really did was print w/o 5-6 on the back. Woopsie. So, I tried to do a modified version of w/o A (deadlift instead of squats, push ups instead of upright rows, etc) but I pooped out on the last superset pair...bulgarian split squats just weren't happening today. But I learned something new...engaging your core during a bss IMMEDIATELY activates the glutes in a whole new way (thank you, Friendly-Y-Trainer!). Wow! That was amazing.

Thanks for giving me accountability! You are all doing awesome, except for Bill! Juuuussstttt Kidding!!
