140 Days - A Personal Challenge
I've been on a personal journey for the last 4 years. Some of it has dealt with fitness, some of it has to deal other areas of my life that have been less than stellar. However, the time has come to merge all that I've learned over the last 4 years into a personal challenge that will span the next 140 days. So here are the goals I have to accomplish by December 31st.
1. Get out of Debt in the next 5 years. Would like to have $4000 paid off in the next 140 days.
2. Work towards being in the 230s before the end of the year.
3. Find a new apartment and move. The one I am currently in is reaching my threshold of what I am willing to pay for rent.
4. Expand my Cafepress store with a wide variety of items.
5. Blog Regularly
6. Declutter and get rid of the extraneous stuff in my life.
7. Complete as many of the Fitness Safari Goals as I can in the next 17 days.
8. Focus on the abundance that I have in my life instead of the lack.
9. Pray Daily
10. Develop dontbeapicklebump.com further.

Day 140 - It begins
Last night after talking to the insurance agent, I was very frustrated. It's borderline as to whether or not they fix my car because the guy hit the tire almost dead on. So I might need to go car shopping or I might not. Honestly I really hope I don't have to. I love my car.
However in the thoughts that were running through my head last night I realized how very tired I am of running through the same hoop over and over again. So it's time to quit acting like a hamster on a wheel and get serious about making the changes I need. I have the skills, I just haven't done a very good job of integrating them.
The plan isn't fully formed. I just wrote down the goals yesterday. However, I'm working on it. and over the next week or so should have a more solid plan in place. The time I spend on the bus will be used to create the details and steps I need to get where I want.

That's a lot to tackle! I think it's great that you're taking the plunge and making changes. Just make sure you make your goals realistic and attainable within your time period specified! I'll be cheering you on!
Oh, and I saw that you did a boxing class yesterday! Boxing = hard.

There's a lot of stuff there I know... but that's why I need to break down the big goals into baby steps.

That's also why some goals dovetail into others.

If you've not read it yet, you may want to pick up a copy if Getting Things Done. Sure, I found it's a great organizational tool, but it's also a good way of thinking about all your goals and projects in life to really make sure you can find a way to work toward what's important to you.
(Heh, says the chick who's still trying (feels like vainly) get her own damn act together. :p )

Good Luck Paula
#8. Is the most important in my opinion, take care of that one and all the rest will fall into place.

Good luck to you Paula! Writing your goals down is the first step to making them a reality.

I know. One of my favorite books in the world is Write it down make it happen.
Well they totalled my car. I expected that after my discussion with the insurance adjuster yesterday. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that the settlement they offered me was $20 less than what I paid for the car in the first place. With the annoyance check they gave me to cover my inconvenience etc. the grand total came to just over $8k. I'm willing to spend $3k-4k on a car at this point. My only requirements is that it have working AC and can pass inspection.
Anyhoo... if you know anyone in the Houston area that has a well maintained car they want to get rid of and is in my price range, let me know.
The other portion will go to fund my emergency fund, towards moving expensese in 2 months and to pay off some bills.

Did measurements this morning. Three inches are back. But then it's been a solid two weeks since I've done any sort of lifting. I still lost in my legs though. Weird.
anyway, they are posted on the measurement tracker link if you care to take a gander.

Lifting was supposed to happen today.... but because of car stuff didn't. So I will do something at home tonight for at least 20 minutes. Once the car stuff settles, I'll worry about calorie cycling and lifting.

Anything is better than nothing. Sometimes 20 minutes of bodyweight is good anyway. Plus you have all that iron at home...
heh, at least you're feeling good enough to lift, right? I mean, car accidents are high mortality... so coming out with a fat check and some minor damage is always preferable to the alternative...
(always look on the bright side of life.... whistle....)
