I'm glad you're doing better.

Cars are a pain, and it sucks that we live in areas where it's nearly impossible to not have them... bus systems in many places suck ass... not to mention take forever... so if you don't have time for busses, or need to go where busses don't (or when busses don't) and you can't walk or bike because of distance, you're screwed. heh.

Me, I have to remove my old battery (which is a p.i.t.a. because of how it's held in) to get a new one so that I can get my car running long enough to get it to be fixed and hope that I don't kill the new battery in the process. After a day of orientation crap at school. But, I'm glad I can get a refirb alt for less than a new and that I should be ok when it comes to the car for a bit, and then we're saving up for a new one because this is gonna be it's 3rd or 4th one now.

Bet you can't wait to get back to the gym.

I went this morning...... Decided to do NROL breakin again for the remainder of the month so I can get used to everything again. It totally kicked my ass this morning.

Squats
WU 1x8xbw
1x8x45
2x15x55

Static Lunges
2x15x3s

SS W/ 2pt DB Row with Elbow out
1x15x10
1x15x10

Pushups (inclined on smith machine)
1x15xbw
1x15xbw (has to split this set to complete 9,6)

SS w/ Swiss ball crunches
2x15xbw+15

It was really strange for me to lift with a mirror right in front of me. I did a good job of correcting stuff, but I also realized I lean way forward on the squats because of my belly.

I was wore out after the workout.... and freaking hungry by the time I got to eat.

It's good to see that you're getting back into it. Good job!

Running through Break-in again is probably a good idea. I did the same thing this past Spring after not lifting for several months. I figured it wouldn't be a good idea just to jump into one of the regular workouts as cold as I was.

Now I just have to figure out if the Hilton I am going to be staying at for business next month has a decent weight room.

Try squatting with a wider stance... even sumo. It makes room for having extra volume in the front.

Don't count on it. I used to stay in Hiltons quite frequently and most of their exercise facilities didn't go beyond a few aerobic machines and some sort of universal gym-type contraption. A few also had some dumbbells. One or two gave gold members free access (others paid a fee)to private on-premises fitness clubs. Those were the only ones that had decent weight rooms.

I figured that would probably be the case. I was just figuring since this one was in Colorado Springs it wouldn't be the case.

I wouldn't count on a nice exercise facility. It's a rare occasion when a hotel actually HAS a decent set of dumbbells. However, you can whip together a nice bodyweight workout or a circuit style workout to be done w/light weights. Where there's a will there's a way!

Ditto! When I travel for work, I usually call ahead and find out if there is a gym close by. Most gyms are willing to let you work out there as a guest while in town for business for a small cost.

Glad to be back at it. Going to go back to FL-II

Have no clue what I am going to do after that. Maybe a strength cycle since it's been a while for any "heavy" lifting

It IS nice to feel all strong and badass slinging that much weight around... although strength one likes to burn you out at the end of an exercise by making you do 20 reps for your last set. heh heh hehhhhh

Tomorrow is 1800 calorie day this ought to be interesting

I had to stop myself from going by the candy "station" several times today.

Ended up making some peanut butter truffles tonight to help deal with the desire for sweets.
