thanks Stingo...

My armpits hurt from the bench presses yesterday but at the same time I am still thrilled with the progress my overall strength has seen with Leigh's program. I did go and pick up my bike last night, so when I get home tonight I'm going for a ride around the neighborhood. I'm trying to get back into the lifting and moving groove on a daily basis.

I'm getting there.... I'm at the brake shop this morning waiting. The master cylinder failed and was pushing brake fluid back into the reservior. At least it's not going to cost me an arm and a leg

yeah. but man was I sore last week after doing that. But despite the lack of workouts the past few weeks, I think the schlepping stuff up and down the steps was a good thing. I weighed this morning and I was at 254. Which was only 3 lbs more than what I weighed the last time I bothered getting on a scale. That pleases me because the last time I had a break like that I went a little crazy and gained 9 lbs.

However to quote Gene Autry


It's time to get back on track and knock the rest of the year out in great style in terms of being on track eatswise and with working out. Next Cheat day is Thanksgiving.

Tonight's workout.

Step-ups
1x10x8s

1x10x12s

Face Pulls
2x12x28
1x12x32
I will probably start this at 32 the next time I do this.

Swiss Ball Hypers
3x12xbw
this are a challenge to get yourself braced properly so you don't fall flat onto your face in front of a gym full of people.

Seated rear lat raises
1x12x10s
1x12x12s (this wasn't very good dropped the weight back down the next set)
1x12x10s

Neutral grip DB Bench Press
1x12x15s
2x12x20s

Reverse Crunch
1x15xbw
1x15xbw (9,6 couldn't quite get this in all one shot)
1x15xbw

Side Planks (Goal 60 seconds each side)
R 35, 15,20
L 20, 20, 5

I had some energy left over (way more than usual) so I decided to see if I could squat what I did last week without having the anger factor.
Here's those results
3x95
3x115
3x125
3x130
3x135 (New Weight Record)

I followed this up with 15 minutes on the elliptical.

45 minutes of Aerobic Activity. Aerobic drills are still kicking my . So I made it through 2 complete cycles of the aerobics drill (I'd be so much further along with this had I actually stuck with the damn program). and then I did 5 sets of just cone hops and jumping rope. My goal at this point is to get 3 complete sets out the next time I do aerobic drills and 6 sets of just cone hops and jumping rope. From there it was on to the elliptical and the treadmill for a grand total of 18 minutes. then it was mobility drill time. I think I was close to puking at the end of the mobility drills and they aren't really that hard.

I'm just not used to 60 plus minutes of aerobic/mobility activity all at once.
