Have a great time at the beach! Load could have found some friends there.

Hi all!
Yes, I'm still around. We had such a great time at the beach that we extended our vacation another week.
Within a day of returning, I found myself working 7 10 to 12-hour days. I'd love to distribute my work load a bit more evenly over the year, but that's not how my clients seem to want to schedule things.
I'll probably ease back into here within the next few days as I get by the biggest crunch. I probably won't be able to post as much as I was prior to vacation for a few weeks, but I should at least be able to post workouts.
I have kept up with my workouts with the exception of the past couple weeks. I completed TT 2K4 3 weeks ago and have really given my TRX quite a workout as well. I've also added dumbbell shotputs to my GPP portfolio.....You should try it - Fun!

Hey Egham....I'm glad you're back. Sure sounds like you are busy. Feast or famine, I guess. Any good pics from the beach? Staying an extra week must have made it even harder to come back. Good to see you are keeping your TRX busy! Say hi to Mrs!!!

Here’s a few photos. We vacationed at Kiawah Island, a gated island and golf resort about 20 miles south of Charleston, SC. The place is gorgeous, beautiful landscaping and homes, beautiful 10-mile long hard sand beach, great bicycling – both inland and on the beach, great restaurants on-island and nearby, and an easy drive to Charleston – a truly unique city.
We’ve vacationed there many times over the past 8 or 9 years and always look forward to returning. Neither of us golf, but the island offers so much in addition to golf that it’s become our favorite beach vacation spot. It’s never congested like Hilton Head further to the south or Isle of Palms to the north. As a gated resort community, it’s a quieter family oriented place that does not attract the more boisterous college or high school crowd. It offers a wide range of lodging possibilities from a luxury hotel that starts at well over $300.00/night to 1,2,&3 bedroom villas to large beachfront homes. We generally enjoy a 2 bedroom plus den townhouse villa just off the beach. It has a nice, sunny deck extending out over a freshwater lagoon.
The villa comes complete with poodle control – there’s never any bothersome yipping. Al seems to keep the neighborhood clear of such annoyances.
Al also patrols the lagoon on a regular basis. Here he is cruising under our deck.
We usually enjoy our breakfasts out on the porch at The Sanctuary, Kiawah’s resort hotel. Our view -
Here’s the view from one of our favorite lunch spots, the clubhouse at the Ocean Course, which is at the eastern end of the island. We like to ride our rental bicycles (old-fashioned balloon tire, coaster brake things) in one direction and on the beach the other.
Finally here’s a shot from an earlier trip of Mrs. Egham on her way to the beach. 10 uninterrupted miles of gorgeous gradually-sloping sandy beach!

Sweet God......
I have an uncontrollable Alligator/Crocodile phobia. I would have refused to come within 100 feet of that thing.

Welcome back!! Sounds like a great vacation. I wish my neighborhood had that method for controlling all the stray cats around here.
