Thanks everyone!! I am still on a high from those dang pushups, I tell ya! I wish I got to do them again in tonight's workout, but they will have to wait until Saturday!

Yahoo Jane! I too am a graduate from the girly pushups and it feels awesome! No reason you can't do more. I do them every workout in my warmup and superset them in my ab workout. Hey if you can conquer chemistry then you can conquer pushups!!

Good for you Jane! That is the best feeling in the world, doing something you didn't think you could.

NROL4W Stage 1 Workout B (4 of 8) - halfway thru stage 1

Deadlift
12 x 70
12 x 65

Superset
Dumbbell Shoulder Press
12 x 12.5 db's
12 x 12.5 db's

Wide-Grip Lat Pulldown
12 x 40
12 x 35

Superset
Lunge
12 x 7.5 db's
12 x 7.5 db's

Swiss Ball Crunch
2 x 10

Did 2 intervals on treadmill b4 side stitches stopped me. Haven't had those since long ago when I used to run! Good workout tonight.

The cute guy at the gym I have my eye on pulled a muscle doing DB shoulder presses so I didn't have my usual Thursday scenery since he left early to go ice it.

Nutrition is still on 100% since the start of the challenge. Haven't strayed one little bit. I can't wait until measurements/weight/pics on the first. I feel so good!

Great job on sticking with the nutrition 100%! That's the roughest part for most people. And awesome job with the pushups!

Your 100% on the food is incredible. I don't know how you do it!

You have my sympathy on the MIA cute guy. I work out at home so don't have scenery. I should tape up some beefcake posters!

Wendy, this is the competitive side of me. Competition against MYSELF, really. When I set my mind to something, that's it. I am that way with my business, my job, and school. It's just me.

Now, I already know that on February 15, I will ease up. We are celebrating my mom's 75th birthday. And, since she just had the stroke in October, this is a big deal that we are ABLE to celebrate another birthday. So, no bothering with diet on that day! Until then, I just motor on with my nutrition and don't really think too much about it. Like you, I plan ahead and freeze meals and always know what's on deck for the next couple days.

I am good with the meal prep, etc. I think I just need to ratchet down the portions. and I take too many side diversions into thai food, wine, beer, dark chocolate. see stingo's log for details.

January 26
NROL4W Stage 1 Workout A (5 of 8)

Squat
10 x 70
10 x 75
10 x 80

Superset
Pushup
10 real ones
5 real/10 knee
9 real ones
(Yeah again)

SeatedRow
10 x 55
10 x 55
5 x 55/5 x 50

Superset
Step-ups on 20" bench
10 x 7.5's
10 x bw
10 x bw
(took it back down to bw to concentrate on form)

Prone Jackknife
10 x bw
12 crunches
11 x bw
(I could really feel my core/lower back wanting to give out on the first set, so I did crunches the 2nd set. Went back to the jackknifes for the 3rd, but still feeling lower back wanting to give. This really is a great core exercise.)

Spent the day out shopping with my mom and sister. This was the first time out shopping since her stroke, so it was a very good day! And, I passed up warm cherry pie right out of the oven at lunch and homemade chocolate chip cookies at her house! Stuck to TNT completely. I also took over my Bodylastic exercise tubes for my mom. I am hoping to get her doing a bit more because she is so frail (like 85 pounds frail). I showed her some basic moves and I hope she tries them. She seemed interested.

Feeling good tonight. And happy.

Once you cross that barrier, multiple pushups follow quickly.

I'm envious! I am still doing pushups on a 25% incline. Someday soon...I'll hopefully be able to do the real thing as well!

Looks like you're building up momentum in the direction of progress - resisting desserts like that is a great indication you're heading in the right direction.
