well I'm afraid you're right, esp. since the dot got accepted for scientific use
That's something I'd always thought to be wrong wrong wrong & more wrong .. must be the damn Japanese who invented (or perfected) the electronic calculator.

Glad things went okay on day 2 ... my best advice, learn every staff member's name ... learn something about them that you can converse with them about when you visit ... bring them treats ... sounds ridiculous, but the better connection they feel to you, the more "personal" care they will have with your mom. Sad but true! And definitely take time away ... caregiver burnout is a real thing ... and in the long run does no one any favors.

UGH! I've been snowed in for over 24 hours! They FINALLY plowed my street, so I am itching to get out today. Hopefully, a workout, visit with mom, and some errands. It was terrible to be snowed in WITH a forum outage!
Maybe that is why so many of us fell off the bandwagon. (me, Stingo, CloveApple). Being snowed in totally stinks. Having a forum offline stinks too. But these things happening at the same time.. grrr.
Must fess up that I only now discovered JP is based on the umpteenth floor of some office building in Little Rock, AZ
As for your mom: take heart to Julie's advice, I'm afraid she's totally right
(BTW, I can't be the only one who is totally tempted to look up & post a lolcat pic in your log, while I normally don't look them up at all, but do LOL upon seeing them )

YIKES!! Glad they finally plowed your street! We were supposed to get snow yesterday - NOT! So far this winter - NOTHING!

Getting snowed in is no fun. Glad to hear that you've been plowed out. We've been lucky enough to just get a little snow every day, but not a big dump of it in a while.
Me too!! The worst part was that my driveway was all clear....I just couldn't down my damn street and the city decided to wait and plow it last, apparently.

Thanks, Kara. Nothing really tremendous, but feels good to be back in the gym.

It's supposed to get brutally cold here, too - with lows in the single digits! And I saw some chance of snow this week, too (although I will believe THAT when I see it!)

How's your Mom doing??
Hi Tracey, thanks for asking. Yesterday, I didn't think she was doing well mentally; physically, a bit better. She's having those weird thoughts again. She told me that hoodlums were running around the halls at night and that people were coming into her room at night and talking about killing and murder and that shady stuff was going on. I verified with the nurse that she is still getting her anti-psychotic at night and she is, so not sure if she needs more or what. The night nurse (whom I really like) assured me that she had a restful night and none of what my mom is saying happened. So, not sure what to do. She just really wants to go home.

That is so sad, Jane. I'm sorry.
