I'm so excited to read that you're getting a new baby. I hope you are out of your funk from earlier this week. Shawn and I were talking about this the other night. Ironically, I find that I think about the big stuff like death, when things are going well in my life because the stupid little worries are gone. I'm not worrying about my relationship, my job, my looks or if people like me so I have to find something to worry about. That drives me nuts about myself.
Seeing this makes me so proud I'd tell you to kick some arse but I know that's already planned
Thanks, Brian!

Thanks, Leah! You know, maybe you are right about the funk. I really don't know where it comes from. I do tend to overthink EVERYTHING, so it may just be part of my weird brain. The thoughts are less this week, so I am sure it will pass (until next time).

Don't worry, you will. I only use the cable machine for pull-thrus and face pulls these days, but it always pisses me off when I have to keep adjusting the stack because each one seems to be different. You should do band-assisted pullups. I found those much more helpful than lat pulldowns or a gravitron to get to a chin/pullup.
I'm going to include my January pics here in my log because it keeps me motivated! So, below are my beginning stats and pics for the August challenge, as well as the beginning January pics and stats

Chest: From 40 to 36 -4.0"
Below Chest: From 32 to 29 -3.0"
Stomach below belly button: 39.5 to 34.25 -5.25"
Waist at narrowest: From 32.5 to 27.0 -5.5"
Hips: From 41 to 37 -4"
Thigh: From 24.25 to 21.5 -2.75"
For the August challenge, my goals will be:
Weight: From 137 to 130
Body Fat: From 32.5 to 26.5 (as measured by the BodPod, beginning measurement taken on 6-20 and next measurement will be 9-19)
Pushups: Do 100 consecutive pushups
Swimming: To lean how to swim -- finally!
Plan: I will be tracking calories and will remain on a deficit until I reach 130 and then I will re-evaluate. I will be following Power Training.
I love how you've not only changed your body, but you've changed your comfort level as well. Look at how much you covered up in January! Now look at you - all bikini-clad and smiling.

Thanks so much girls!
OK, today was Week 1, Day 3 of the 100 push plan. 5 sets:

8
5

I'll probably squeeze in a light jog or walk today since it's soooo nice out today.
I just spent the last 3 days reading your entire log. Although my husband thought I was completely crazy I felt like I was reading a novel with you as the heroine. Thank you so much for posting your journey. I love that you put yourself out there--the good and bad, happy and sad. It is rare to see that kind of vulnerability anymore and I believe it is the key to growing stronger--physically and emotionally. I echo everyone's opinion of you that you are an amazing woman and an inspiration to us all. I look forward to being in the august challenge with you.
I have really learned so much from reading your log. I am seriously considering TNT after reading through your success with it. Obviously, I will have my own trial and error to go through but it is nice to see how someone else has weathered through it and continues to evolve.
What amazes me most about you is how any stumbling block you come across be it emotional, physical or nutritional you completely take charge figure out the best way to attack it and knock it down. Your spirit and determination are awesome.
Now that I am caught up on the last year and a week of your life I look forward to checking in daily with you.
BTW, you should consider a career in life coaching. Or how about a book and tv deal. You are an Oprah in the making.

Oh my, Nicole!!! What a nice thing to say!
You know.....I have to say that once I put my mind to something, it's full speed ahead. I knew I had to take charge and put everything into this and "just do it". I am honored to be an inspiration to you and to anyone else, as it never crossed my mind at the beginning. What a nice suprise.
I think the most important thing I have learned is that there is no end. Goals are met and new ones must be made. There's always room for improvement, growth, and learning. So, I am always constantly striving for better and more. And, that's just the way I am in general -- in my job, in my business, and with myself.
As for all the crap......well, that's part of my life, too. So, I guess if I were to sit down and read through my entire log it may just seem like a novel (or soap opera!), too! But, I like the idea of being a heroine.

Hi Jane. I am a "log lurker", but I wanted to come out of hiding to say Congratulations on making such great progress - "See Jane in a bikini" - well, we've seen you in a bikini now - well done.
Hi Jane,
I am going to start Coach Dos's Powertraining next week. Are you still doing TNT dietwise? I have read on the MH forum that coach Dos doesn't think you can do low carb while doing his program. I actually follow more like Atkins and have been for over a year. I am really comfortable eating this way and did NROL4W without too much trouble eating low carb. Sure I had some days when I was tanked but I completed the program and made good overall progress. I am not familiar with how TNT's carb levels are but if you have been comfortable that is encouraging. I am thinking if I needed to I could eat more carbs before and after my workout. I would be interested in your feedback.
And you do look great, congrats on your transformation!
