Hi Jane-

I'm so excited to read that you're getting a new baby. I hope you are out of your funk from earlier this week. Shawn and I were talking about this the other night. Ironically, I find that I think about the big stuff like death, when things are going well in my life because the stupid little worries are gone. I'm not worrying about my relationship, my job, my looks or if people like me so I have to find something to worry about. That drives me nuts about myself.

Thanks, Leah! You know, maybe you are right about the funk. I really don't know where it comes from. I do tend to overthink EVERYTHING, so it may just be part of my weird brain. The thoughts are less this week, so I am sure it will pass (until next time).

I know, Jill. Maybe if I can ever get myself to do chin-ups and pull-ups I can abandon the cable machine for good!

Don't worry, you will. I only use the cable machine for pull-thrus and face pulls these days, but it always pisses me off when I have to keep adjusting the stack because each one seems to be different. You should do band-assisted pullups. I found those much more helpful than lat pulldowns or a gravitron to get to a chin/pullup.

I love how you've not only changed your body, but you've changed your comfort level as well. Look at how much you covered up in January! Now look at you - all bikini-clad and smiling.

Hi Jane,

I just spent the last 3 days reading your entire log. Although my husband thought I was completely crazy I felt like I was reading a novel with you as the heroine. Thank you so much for posting your journey. I love that you put yourself out there--the good and bad, happy and sad. It is rare to see that kind of vulnerability anymore and I believe it is the key to growing stronger--physically and emotionally. I echo everyone's opinion of you that you are an amazing woman and an inspiration to us all. I look forward to being in the august challenge with you.

I have really learned so much from reading your log. I am seriously considering TNT after reading through your success with it. Obviously, I will have my own trial and error to go through but it is nice to see how someone else has weathered through it and continues to evolve.

What amazes me most about you is how any stumbling block you come across be it emotional, physical or nutritional you completely take charge figure out the best way to attack it and knock it down. Your spirit and determination are awesome.

Now that I am caught up on the last year and a week of your life I look forward to checking in daily with you.

BTW, you should consider a career in life coaching. Or how about a book and tv deal. You are an Oprah in the making.

Oh my, Nicole!!! What a nice thing to say!

You know.....I have to say that once I put my mind to something, it's full speed ahead. I knew I had to take charge and put everything into this and "just do it". I am honored to be an inspiration to you and to anyone else, as it never crossed my mind at the beginning. What a nice suprise.

I think the most important thing I have learned is that there is no end. Goals are met and new ones must be made. There's always room for improvement, growth, and learning. So, I am always constantly striving for better and more. And, that's just the way I am in general -- in my job, in my business, and with myself.

As for all the crap......well, that's part of my life, too. So, I guess if I were to sit down and read through my entire log it may just seem like a novel (or soap opera!), too! But, I like the idea of being a heroine.

Thanks again, Nicole!

Coach Dos' Power Training - Total Fitness Routine
Workout B of Phase 2 (ie weeks 4-6)
Workout 8 of 10

1-armed DB Snatch
3x25
3x27.5
3x27.5

Split Squats
6x65 oly bar (each leg)
6x65 oly bar (each leg)
6x65 oly bar (each leg)
6x70 oly bar (each leg)
*I accidentally loaded up the bar with 85 lbs for the first set. I managed to get 6 reps on my right leg and then my left leg I was shaking like a leaf. I couldn't figure out why it was so damn hard tonight! Then, I saw the plates on the bar. DUH! So, I figured I'd shoot for 70 lbs and did it. I've really rocked the Split Squats during this phase. I can remember when BW split squats KILLED me.

Single-Leg RDL's
6x20's
6x15's
6x15's
*I dropped the weight here because I really wanted to concentrate on form and the full ROM. I think 15 is good for me, rather than the 20.

Incline Bench Press
6x50
6x50
6x50
6x50
FINALLY got all 4 sets of 50. Will TRY 55 next time.

One-Arm Cable Row
6x75
6x68.5
6x68.5
6x68.5

Jackknife Pushups
6 from bench
6 from floor
6 from floor
6 from floor

Lat Pulldown
6 x 75 (wide grip)
6 x 87.5 (underhand grip)
6 x 68.5 (wide grip)
6 x 81 (underhand grip)

Weighted Swiss Ball Lateral Roll
8x10
8x10
8x10

Planks
75 secs static plank
35 secs side plank
35 secs side plank

Gravitron -- 3 reps using 46 lbs assistance -- still getting better here!

15 minutes of LISS on treadmill

Tonight I am making a wonderful marinated chicken using all of the fresh herbs from my garden -- rosemary, thyme, parsley, oregano and basil. And, I have a TON of cherry tomatoes and I made homemade salsa to go with the chicken. YUM!

Hi Jane,
I am going to start Coach Dos's Powertraining next week. Are you still doing TNT dietwise? I have read on the MH forum that coach Dos doesn't think you can do low carb while doing his program. I actually follow more like Atkins and have been for over a year. I am really comfortable eating this way and did NROL4W without too much trouble eating low carb. Sure I had some days when I was tanked but I completed the program and made good overall progress. I am not familiar with how TNT's carb levels are but if you have been comfortable that is encouraging. I am thinking if I needed to I could eat more carbs before and after my workout. I would be interested in your feedback.

And you do look great, congrats on your transformation!

If you look back thru my log you can see my weekly macro breakdowns. I am now eating low to moderate carbs.

Thanks!
