Hehe, how many segments on shopping are there in this log?
I still have a line on a brand new DeWalt 18v hammer-drill for $160, if I were to bring cash. The problem is that it's a big monster and I'm wanting something more compact.
I got a Stanley Fat Max contractor's toolbox on sale at Menard's. It's big enough to hold my drill and a reciprocating saw, if I were to get one, on sale of course.
I love WNTW!!! I have learned a lot from them about how to dress my body (ginormous boobs) and do a much better job now of accenting my positives and hiding my negatives. I have not bought any new clothes although I need them. I can only afford one wardrobe switch, so I am waiting until I reach my goal. I'll just pin and tuck until then ... or live in sweats!! At least this time of year I am mostly in my bathing suit ...
Now, now - Stacey would definitely call you on that one. This from someone who still has stuff she wore 70 pounds ago.
(As money is tight I'll replace the pants/bras/undies and take in the tops for a while.)
Oh my gosh.....I gave away dozens of jeans, dress pants, skirts.....it was really sad.
Friends and family took what they wanted and the rest....well, someone got some killer deals at goodwill and are walking around looking fine.
Ginger, I am a great shopper! Would be so fun to do it together! Heck, even today I had the sales clerks in awe of my bargains and they wanted to know where I found them!

I gave away a lot of stuff, too. But I have some jeans that I bought a couple of months ago that are now too big, which is a good thing except I actually spent some money on them.

When it comes to jeans shopping, that's when I wish I was shorter. It would make my life a little easier. No such luck. I dream of the day I am wearing that waist size, though.

I just wish I were a COUPLE inches shorter for the exact same reason, Ginger!
Right now, I have ONE pair of jeans that fit, but since it's summer I haven't been wearing jeans, so I'm just going to wait on that purchase. Jeans are the one thing that it's hard to find on sale because they are so damn hard to fit!

Yes, I know, but up here in rural New Hampshire, no one cares ... and I'm in shorts/T-shirts or a bathing suit most of the time. Why bother?! I did get some cute shorts that fit before I left ... and I bought a couple pairs that will fit in another two weeks. And I have a few pairs I have put away since I got here that no longer fit.

I don't think I'll be that small when I'm at goal ... my thighs and butt are the limiting factors!! I used to have sice 30 Levis that fit great when I was really skinny (right after my divorce) so that is the size I am guessing I'll get down to.

My treat to myself when I get close to goal is going to be to go to National Jean Company and buy at least 2-3 pairs of jeans that really fit me well, no matter the cost. That and new bras. And maybe a breast reduction!!

I'm digging the avi too, that hairstyle is very elegant.
I used to always just shop regular prices, but things change...my favorite place these days is a resale chain called Plato's closet. They have all my favs..lucky jeans, ann taylor, bannana for cheap. And, my ever-growing son can shop there too!
Your workouts look strong too...how are you liking this program now that you are at the end of stage one?
Hey there. I saw your new avatar in another thread and I just thought I'd pop in here and say - fantastic picture!

Love the new picture! Your hair is sure growing, you hottie!
Wow, you guys. Thanks for the avi nods. I just get sick of looking at the same pic so I like to change it up now and then.

+ another one!! You really look stunning!!!
On another note, I'm doing Power Training too...(slight changes for my kness) but..I am also loving it...this was my first week, and I only do two days a week because I can go a lot heavier now. It really kicked my butt this week, but I love the whole body workout!!!
Jane - Just came across your log and its absolutely awesome! You have made such great progress..
I havent finished reading the whole thing yet..so forgive if you have mentioned this before. What is this book that you are currently following? Is it more for weight loss / fat loss or buildig muscle.
I did go through some of your training and it looks good. Are you doing any cardio and how long? thanks..

Thanks for stopping by. Currently, I am doing Power Training by Dos Remedios. I believe any program can be "Fat Loss", as that's all about diet and calorie deficit. My main goal is to retain LBM as I reach my fat loss goal (almost there). I do cardio intervals a couple times a week, nothing set in stone, lift 3x a week. I take walks or jogs when the mood hits me, too. Mainly, for me, it's been all about diet this year, and that has been the biggest factor.
I imagine I will be looking at strength and hypertrophy this Fall, all within the Power Training program.
Jane, I can't resist any more confessing my shopping envy! We are an hour away even from Wal-Mart, and the mall that is in that town is really lame (you can see the entire thing at once when you're standing at one end!) An hour an a half away there is a pretty decent mall, but who has the time (or the money) to drive 90 miles? I have been to TJ Maxx a few times and found some really good bargains. I'd love to be able to stop over there every week or so...well, happy shopping!
