I'm with you on the chicken sausages! I discovered them a couple of years ago at Sam's Club. Chicken & spinach & asiago cheese sausages. Yum!! We've since given up our Sam's membership and I've yet to find them anywhere else, though. Man, they were good!
I ate 2 cups of raspberries! Oh my gosh, they were so good, I couldn't stop!
I guess it's better than 2 cups of ice cream or candy, right?
This is what low(er) carb brings you to! I'm watching our raspberries and boysenberries blooming right now and just hoping for a bumper crop. Not going to happen as I moved the raspberries in the fall and added new plants this spring. Also, most of the boysenberry canes have been moved this year as well, although they seem to be blooming better than expected (can't really kill them).
Now I'm plotting to see how many cherries I can protect from the birds that are already scoping them out!
We've found chicken sausages at both BJ's Wholesale and at Costco!! And of course Trader Joe's - last time we were there we bought one of just about every flavor!! Tonight we are having the Sweet Basil Pesto flavor!!!
Not much to report. Workouts good. Food so-so since I freaked out on those raspberries. The scale has stalled. I may just go back to TNT since it's so natural for me. Though, I will miss my fruit! Maybe I was having too MUCH fruit. With WSFL, you get a choice of fruit OR veggie at certain meals. Well, I saw fruit, and I ALWAYS chose fruit. LOL! Give me an inch and I take a mile.
So......need to figure out what I really want to do to blast off these last few pounds before July 4 (which was my personal goal). TNT will probably be the ticket.
Well, if you stalled, then I would think it means you can eat like that for maintenance, which is great. So as soon as you get your last lbs. off you can go back to fruit. So do what you need to do to get 'er done and then you can get back to your raspberries
jane, sounds like TNT is ideal for you. I may seriously do WSFL in january 09, we will be almost to the end of our second challenge then, so it would be timely.
Jane, as always, your progress is inspiring! And the raspberry thing made me laugh! I cheated today AND yesterday with cookies!--Is that the same? haha

Yeah really. Big cheat! Quick call Jenny Craig. Jane had berries so the scale is stalled. LOL!!! Sometimes we are all just funny ducks.
I did some serious thinking today and I'm going to have to change some things up for several days. My right wrist has been injured for weeks now. I keep pushing myself and all I am doing is delaying the healing process. Everytime I think it's better, I load up the lat machine or row and BAM....it hurts the next day. The icing on the cake was tonight when it hurt to open a jar.
So, for the next several days, there will be NO weight bearing exercise that involves my wrist. No lat pull, no pushups, no O/H press, no presses, etc. I just HAVE to get this wrist healed.
I will up my HIIT and LISS during this time and keep calories a bit lower, carbs low as well.
As much as I like WSFL, I just think that in order for me to push like I need to push during this program, I really need to be at 100% physically. Once I am, I really want to push through the 28 days and get it done with no pain.
Most of my HIIT and LISS will be done outside. When I do go to the gym, I will only do strength training that in no way uses my wrist.
I'm telling you.....these people are the WORST at returning phone calls and/or emails. This is exactly what happened when I scheduled the first time and now I'm going through it again. It's starting to really aggravate me! So, no, I haven't.....but it's not for lack of trying!
Lisa, I really haven't been doing anything because I kept thinking it was getting better. But, I think that just when it starts to GET better, I overwork it again. I may try to keep it splinted more and put some biofreeze on it at night....that seemed to help.
I think it's perfectly reasonable. There's no way you're going to get better if you keep hurting it! I agree you should try some therapy for it so it can heal faster.
Good luck!

This is exactly what I decided with my shoulder, Jane. I'm taking the NSAID for 2 weeks as instructed and have avoided any ST that aggravates my shoulder. I couldn't do the Front Squat Push Pull AT ALL in Stage 2, but I want this shoulder healed. I was getting to the point where normal everyday actions were being impaired so I knew I had to do something. I think the shoulder is slowly getting better, but I cannot push it at all yet. I'm hoping that I will be able to return to everything in another couple of weeks. We shall see.
In the mean time, I hope your wrist heals quickly!!!
