Oh, I forgot my excitement for the day. While Sophie was getting her first shampoo and nails clipped I went over to TJ Maxx and got a $198 pair of SIZE 8 Tahari jeans for 20 bucks! Woo hoo!
Jane that dog is the cutest thing I've ever seen! I can't believe she's so tiny.
I just saw a new thread about another grip you could use for a front squat. I'm not sure if it would help you, but I thought of you since wrist issues were mentioned.

Do you know, I have no idea what that means?

Probably the grip where you cross your hands in front of you? My problem is that I can't use that grip for the push-press. And, my wrist just can't take that push-press yet.

Sorry your wrist is still bothering you! Is it at least improving?
Sophie is so stinking cute!!! (I hope I'm remembering her name right! I still can't remember my own kids' names. )
Thanks, Diane! Yes, it's improving....I'd say it's about 60-70%, but everytime I try those UH Lat Pulldowns, it kills. So, they are out. I feel like my upper body strength is really being impeded by this damn wrist.
That stinks about your wrist. At least you're pushing through and doing what you can. Some people would have just quit, but you're making it work, which is awesome
Jane!
Cute puppy pictures ...
Lots of red on those workouts ...
New skinny jeans on sale ...
All sorts of good stuff going on in here!
Sorry about the down day a while back ... we all have them. Just remember that anyone who doesn't want to be with you isn't worth getting sad over. You are amazing, and if some loser doesn't see that, well, then he is just a loser!
Hugs,
Julie

You have an amazingly cute puppy! Is she a Bichon Frise?

Thanks, Julie! Glad to see you stopping by! Don't be a stranger!
Awesome PR's Jane! I too grieved daily for the loss of my relationship (not necessarily the guy)but found that as time went on the grief was replaced with real life events that I created with other people and myself (school, new job, etc, etc). And I found that I wanted to live well and look good partly for revenge (yes it's a good motivator) but more cuz it feels so darn great! Sophie looks like a ball of fun!

Sveta, let me know if you want my breeder's name. Her little brother is still available.
I saw Jane in a bikini! That is awesome, Jane! Congratulations!
Thanks!

How are you and Sophie making out? Have you adjusted to life with puppy? That adorable face makes it easy, I'm sure!!!
Yes, we are adjusting, but it really is quite an adjustment! See below....

Well, the past week a half has been so hectic trying to get into a routine with the puppy and getting used to having her around. I was so used to being by myself. I've managed to get my workouts in, but food-wise, I know I am undereating, which is no good. I've got to get a handle on this quickly because I need to plan and there's been little planning going on. I haven't strayed from my plan food-wise at all, but I'm sure the calories have been a little low. The scale is tracking down and while that's OK, I just need to be sure I'm maintaining lean and only losing fat. It's getting down to where it's difficult to shed this last bit of fat and I know that my diet will be super key in doing this.
So.....I will be REALLY focusing on everything now that the initial puppy shock is winding down. I'll finish Stage 4 tonight, then on to Stage 5. I'll skip Stage 6 and end the challenge with Stage 7.
Good luck with the diet! I'm right there with you. I need to get my focus back on that and get everything moving in the right direction again.
Isn't amazing how one week of craziness can derail you?
Refresh my memory ... what's in stage 6 (my book is downstairs and I'm too lazy to go get it to look!) and why are you skipping it?
I remember the puppy adjustment period. It's been 10 years, but some things never fade from memory! Is she sleeping through the night yet? That was the worst ... outside trips for potty training ... at 2:00 am!!

Hi Julie! She's slept through the night since Day 1! It's just the getting used to someone underfoot ALL of the time. Can you tell I don't have kids! LOL!
Stage 6 is all about doing a chin-up. Lou says we can skip it if we want and go to Stage 7. I like the looks of Stage 7, so I am going for it!
