Hi Diane, my wrist is still coming along. On my last workout, the worst thing was lifting the oly bar from the floor to the squat rack. That KILLED it! So, I still really have to modify my workouts for the wrist. I think it's going to take a while.
But, despite that setback, I've managed to get back to working out and my food has been spot on. So, I'm still very happy with my progress. I'd like to have a 100% wrist, but for now I am making due!
March 7
NROL4W Stage 4 Workout B (1 of 4) Modified for Wrist Injury
WIDE GRIP DL FROM BOX 8x75
8x75
*My wrist was saying no more weight, so I didn't push it
SUPERSET BULGARIAN SPLIT SQUATS
8x12.5's
8x12.5's
UNDERHAND GRIP LAT PULLDOWN
*Started to do these at 55 lbs and here is where my wrist said NO WAY! I'll have to sub something for these next time
SUPERSET REVERSE LUNGE FROM BOX WITH FORWARD REACH
8x17.5's
8x17.5's
DUMBBELL PRONE CUBAN SNATCH
8x5's
8x5's
*Dropped back to 5's because of the wrist but didn't feel my wrist was bothered by these at all, suprisingly. I think it was the "T" of the YWTL's from last stage that may have done it, actually.
SUPERSET SWISS BALL CRUNCH
2x8 with long arm and 10 lb plate
REVERSE CRUNCH
2x8
LATERAL FLEXION - SIDE SWISS BALL CRUNCH
2x8 each side
PRONE COBRA
2x60 secs
Finished with my intervals.
Still aggravated with the wrist, but I'm still plugging along!
Reached another low on the scale today and I have no pants!! Today, I pulled out all the "used to be tight pants" thinking I would surely find something. They were all too big....I passed them right on by before getting chance to wear them. I'm a clothes whore, so not having stuff to wear is getting to me! Must go shopping this weekend!
Sorry about the RIF ... that's only happened once in my field since I've been working in it (15 years) ... and I voluntarily left that job about 2 weeks before the RIF. My new place didn't have an overstaffing issue, so I was never affected by it. Thank God!!
Bummer that your wrist is still bothering you ... but glad that you found some workarounds.
Nice job on the "downsizing" of your own!!! Have fun shopping!!!

That's awesome that you need new pants! I wish I needed new pants... but then again, no... cuz I can't really afford to buy a new wardrobe, haha. All the same, you're doing fantastic, keep it up girl!

I am SO looking forward to seeing your pics this month Jane. Your AVI already shows a bit of your progress. I can't wait to see the rest. It is refreshing to read of your success and I totally know what you mean RE the pants thing. Try not to get below a size 4 though 'cause that is when you can no longer find grown up pants. You have to wear teen clothes.

My wrist was injured 2 weeks ago today. So, if 2 weeks ago the pain was a 10, I'd say today I'm at a 5. But, it's still not easy working out. I'm taking the weekend off from the gym, but will be working out in the yard, and I'm still going to have to watch it. In fact, right now it's hurting more than it has all day. Picture day tomorrow!

Jane,
Even without the measurements, I can easily see the minuses. You look gorgeous, marvelous, like you've done much hard work. Just a "YOU GO GIRL" moment. Delicious. And congratulations.

OK, apparently I'm missing something... the pics won't show up for me, and I've never had a problem seeing your pics before... That's upsetting... But from everyone else's comments you're looking freakin fantastic! I can tell by the measurement numbers that you've made some big changes, so keep it up! (And figure out why I can't see those awesome pics! hehe)
Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement. All of you give me so much motivation!
Today was a wonderful Spring day. I began by finally buying some new pants and got killer deals on them -- always makes me happy. Then, spent the rest of the day outside washing and waxing my beauty. Then, washed and put in the screens. Then, got the lawnmower ready -- oil change, spark plug -- for the first mow this week. Then, went grocery shopping. No gym today, but I feel like I worked out! Great day!
