Well, I've babied the wrist through 2 mediocre workouts. So, basically, I feel like I have had my week break (unintended though it was). Tomorrow, I am going to start Stage 4 with modifications for my wrist.
For the Front Squat Push Press, I am going to do a true superset of back squat and o/h db press.
For the cable chop, I need to see how it feels, but it may be out.
The push-up I am scared of, but will try and see how it goes.
I will wrap the wrist before I attempt any of this and hope for the best.
Yes, I was thinking this, too. We'll see how it goes tonight.

So, how long have you been in the program and what are your thoughts on it?
I've been doing TNT since Jan 1 and I am averaging about 1 to 1-1/2 pounds of fat loss a week. It's slowing down now, but the scale doesn't tell the true story, since I'm also building lean mass. I've gone down 2 sizes in clothes, so I've definitely seen some great progress with TNT. Of course, I also credit NROL and NROL4W for helping me maintain and gain lean mass.
I find TNT very easy to follow and rarely cheat. When I do, it's planned out and I count it as a 'carb-up' day. I find I usually kick-start another loss when I do it, too (about once a month). I'll be doing more of the Plan B or C here shortly.
Good luck with your "wrist-modified" workout tonite!! Kudos to you for continuing to push on despite an injury and for making the necessary modifications! Most people would just not work out!!!
Jane, fingers crossed on that wrist wrapping for the workouts.
Thanks, LD...any experience with wrist wrapping? I'm going to try and take it as easy as I can on any twisting of the right wrist, which the wrapping should minimize (I hope).
WOW! Just made it through another RIF at work. This is the 9th one (I think, lost count) in the last few years. I was *this* close to going out at lunch for a pitcher of margaritas. Still.....a pretty sad day. I'm sure some of you know exactly how I feel.
9th - wow that sucks! We may be facing this at our work. Most people feel they are going to announce the sale of the plant in the next couple weeks and everyone is worried about our future.
Ahh gotcha.. well having never personally been in that situation my first inkling would be that you're happy... since you made it through. But then again I'm sure you must have lost some friends in the process so I'm sorry about that. My dad had these all the time at IBM and always ended up making it through... guess I never took into account that some of his friendly co-workers had left, I was just glad he still had a job. All in all, I'm sorry it was a sad day :-(
Breakfast was the first protein shake (24 g of protein, 0 g of carbs/sugar) and a hardboiled egg. Throughout the day, I grazed and snacked on pepperoni and cheddar cheese. The cheese contains 0 g of carbs.
Lunch was salmon and 2 servings of asparagus.
At 5:30p, I had a second protein shake, with the same nutrition composition as the first.
For dinner tonight, I think I'm going to have a steak with 2 servings of vegetables.
Well, after the day from hell at work, I needed this workout!
March 31 NROL4W Stage 4 Workout A (1 of 4) Modified for sprained wrist
TRUE SUPERSET Back Squat
8x75
8x75
8x80
O/H DB Press
8x15
7x15 *My wrist could not take this
ALTERNATING SET STEP-UPS ON 20" BENCH
8x10's
8x12.5's
*My form has improved enough on these to move up in weight
DUMBBELL ONE-POINT ROW
8x10's
8x10's *I still stuck at these
ALTERNATING SET STATIC LUNGE WITH REAR FOOT ELEVATED
8x15's
8x15's
PUSH-UPS
2 x 8 (real ones)
*Didn't hurt wrist at all
SUPERSET PLANK
65 secs
45 secs
CABLE HORIZONTAL WOODCHOP
10x20
10x25
*I deliberately lowered the weight on this, thinking it would hurt my wrist, but it didn't. I will up next time.
The thing that hurt my wrist the most today was cleaning the oly bar from the floor to the squat rack! OWWWWWWWEEEEEE!
At any rate, glad to be back in the routine, even if I have to baby the wrist a bit longer.
And, even though I'm really not a scale watcher, I have to admit I was a bit pleased to see the lowest weight I have seen in years on the scale today. I hope pictures this weekend show what I feel and see!
Thanks for the input regarding my diet. I ate half the block of cheese, so I think that's 5 servings. There are 10 grams of fat and 120 calories per serving.

Jane - glad to hear you made it through - RIF's just plain SUCK. I've made it through a couple where I work, too.
I'm so sorry to hear about the stress at work, that just sucks. You have so much more resolve than me--I would have busted out the stress-relieving workout AND drank the pitcher of margaritas.
Jane- great job on managing your take-care-of-the-wrist workouts and all the office stress! Think positive...think cute Sophie! She's coming home in the beginning of April, right?

Thanks LoriAnne! Those margaritas were calling me, but then I knew I'd down a basket of chips and salsa, too. LOL!

Great job on the workouts, though, and excellent progress.

Demoralizing is right. The small IT group that is left has been beaten down.

Ahh, Jane! Sorry about the work stress, that is tough. We've been through a couple of those and I just hate it. Glad you made it through, though. Looking good., my Dear!

You made it through a RIF....great. Do you work for the federal goverenment? I work for Dept of Army and we've been RIFed several times. Right sizing. Bull. People lost jobs! Nothing right about that. Glad you made it through.
Don't let the stress get you down. And keep pumping away!

I work in the telecom field. Yep, have made it through NINE RIF's so far! It is absolutely the worst. Lost a lot of good friends. I'm in IT and our IT org right now is so small after all the layoffs. Very sad.
