Are you going to get a puppy purse to carry her in?
please say no - please tell me she'll walk on her own four feet like a dog - please - (no offense intended to anyone who uses one of those - but it is a pet peeve (pun intended))
Hope everything turns out okay with your wrist! BUT-if the Doc says to take it easy, take it easy you madwoman!!
(Since I'm on injury time-out, misery needs company!)
Glad to hear Sophie will be walking on her own accord, have to agree with Lisa S that the pooch purses are just way too much. I used to own a tiny dog and had a moment of temptation to put him in one of those, but luckily caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and saw the horror of it all! LOL
OK, nothing on the xray. I have a pretty stiff splint courtesy of the hand ortho doc and a script for Naproxen. So, basically I have to take it easy and I can try weight bearing exercise when I think I am ready. If I have pain, back off. Most likely, this is a torn ligament. Taking another day off.
Wanted to pop in and say thanks for suggesting the bench for step ups...I went down in weight (12each hand and then 15 each hand, down from the 20's and 25's!) I did it on the weight bench instead, and found a sturdy one (less padding) and it was a GREAT workout, thanks! Sometimes, stating the obvious is very helpful!

That was hilarious, Diane! And, that's exactly how I feel...it's a roller coaster! I have decided that I am going to have to wrap my puny little wrists for awhile. Seriously, they are so tiny and small-boned. The doc had to find a kid's splint for me and it was still too big! I read an article by Cressey about wrapping the wrists and I think that's the ticket for me.
Yay for working through the injury and doing what you can to protect that wrist! (so glad to hear it was nothing too serious!)
One more to go and on to Stage 4!
I hear ya on "unintended time off" *Grr* It will be nice to cruise through the rest, won't it?
Wrists are tough ... if it lingers, let me know and I will try to find a good PT to send you to ... a few Mulligan treatments and you'll be feeling better!!

Thanks, it's just so frustrating Sophie comes home in 2 weeks. At least I won't need much wrist strength to lift her up....she's all of 1.2 pounds as of last week!

You may want to reconsider that - she's 20% heavier than a pink dumbbell - what ya gonna do?????

OMG you are going to go to lift her up and she will be airborne! You are so used to lifting heavy LOL!
Sorry to hear about your wrist troubles Jane... hopefully it gets better soon and you can start stage 4. You're doing amazingly well with the program, especially keeping such a tight rein on your diet. Great job!
While it definitely sucks that you have to wait out this wrist injury, I commend you for doing the smart thing in letting it get better. I could half see myself trying to push through an injury and just making it worse.
And 1.2 lbs... that pup sounds absolutely precious!
