Hope you feel better soon, Jane.

(I share your dislike of the front squat push press, too.)

Well, I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. At least I managed to get a shower this morning! I am weak and dehydrated....this, I know. So, the order of business today is to DRINK water. I think I can keep it down today. And, I've probably had about 300 calories in the last 3 days, so I MUST find something I can stomach food-wise today, as well.

I'm going to give myself and my stomach this week to recover before I think about TNT. Right now, I can't even think about meat. No way. No how. I may try to get in a protein shake, but that's it. I am going to eat whatever feels right until I am back to normal again.

No idea when I may try to workout again. I will play it by ear. I'm going to aim for mid-week, but we'll see.

My stomach sure is nice and flat this morning (for all the wrong reasons).

This virus sure through me for a loop. I can handle the chest and the congestion crap, but not the stomach crap.

Glad to hear you are at least on the mend, if not better. Take it easy - drink lots and get lots of rest!

Sounds like the flu! Yuck. Hope you're feeling better! Just rest, don't rush back. The workouts will be better if you do.

She does kinda look like a hampster! hehehe, but while I'm not one for small dogs, I do like maltipoos, they're very cute! When do you get to take her home?

OK, this is just lovely. Here is what my diet looks like during this stomach virus I have succombed to the last 4 days. I am FINALLY feeling more normal and will head back to work tomorrow. Keep in mind, I am on TNT (well, I WAS on TNT!). I could only go with what my body wanted or could handle and this was it. Pretty sad.

Day 1: 3 crackers and 2 flat cokes and one glass water

Day 2: 10 crackers (approx) and 1 cup tea, 1/2 cup potato soup, 1 biscuit, and 20 oz water

Day 3: 2 cups tea and 2 pieces butter toast, 1/2 thing of Stouffers mac and cheese

Day 4: (today) 2 cups tea, 2 pieces butter toast, 1/2 thing of Stouffers mac and cheese (so far).

How pathetic -- wouldn't that look pretty in Fitday! My appetite is not there at all yet. I have lost weight (obviously) and you know it ain't fat that was lost, most likely. This sucks so bad!

I'm going to try to muscle down a protein shake yet tonight, but the thought turns my stomach right now. Hopefully, tomorrow, I can get turned around nutritionally and, in turn, get back to the gym.

Holy moses!!! I hope you get better soon. The one thing I am learning in my "bulking" phase is that 1 or 2 off days doesn't really hurt you too much. When you finally do come back take it very slowly and feed your body very well and you'll make it all back up very quickly.

If it gives you a mental backlash, try 1/4 at a time every 2 hours.

You poor thing. No wonder you are so weak. Go easy on the shake and I hope you are able to start taking in some real nutrients, soon.

Hope you get well soon!

I picked up some cold or flu virus just over a week ago but it wasn't nearly as bad as what you got. Mine was mostly in my sinuses and throat. Tylenol Cold Multi-Symptom Severe (as well as the nighttime version) liquid works pretty well to relive the symptoms. I had to take off work for 3 days last week. I made the mistake of working out on Tues, Feb 19th. I just got back to my workouts starting today.

Just take it easy and eat whatever you have to in order to get something in you (and staying down). Nothing wrong with that whatsoever!

OK, I'm back at it...first day back to the gym and back on track nutritionally since the stomach virus. I got sidetracked for five days. Felt pretty strong today, so I gave it a go. Not too bad. Here's what it looked like:

February 28
NROL4W Stage 2 Workout B (2 of 4)

WIDE GRIP DL FROM BOX

10x65
10x70

SUPERSET
BULGARIAN SPLIT SQUATS
10x10 lb plate
10x10 lb plate

UNDERHAND GRIP LAT PULLDOWN
12x50
10x55

SUPERSET
REVERSE LUNGE FROM BOX WITH FORWARD REACH
10x12.5's
10x12.5's
I don't find these difficult...hope I am doing them right!

DUMBBELL PRONE CUBAN SNATCH
10x5's
10x5's
I'll try 7.5's next time

SUPERSET
SWISS BALL CRUNCH
2x10 with long arm

REVERSE CRUNCH
2x10

LATERAL FLEXION - SIDE SWISS BALL CRUNCH
2x10 each side

PRONE COBRA
1x45 secs
1x45 secs
These were hard for me today.

Only manage 3 intervals of HIIT after cuz I was pretty wiped out. But, all in all, a good first day back and I feel near 100%.

Found out today I got out of my business trip! I was supposed to leave Saturday and now I don't have to go. YIPPEE!

Thanks everyone for the kind words on my 2-month pics. Not quite where I had hoped to be, but got derailed for a few days with the stomach virus. All well now and back at it.

March 1
NROL4W Stage 2 Workout A (3 of 4)

Front Squat w/ Push Press

10x35
7x40
stilll don't like these

SUPERSET
STEP-UPS ON 20" BENCH
10x10's
10x10's

DUMBBELL ONE-POINT ROW
10x20's
10x20's
I switched to 2-pt rows. I was doing nothing at all for my back with the one-points. It was "pointless".

SUPERSET
STATIC LUNGE WITH REAR FOOT ELEVATED
10x10's
10x12.5's

PUSH-UPS
2 x 10 (real ones)

SUPERSET
PLANK
30/15/15 secs
30/15/15 secs

CABLE HORIZONTAL WOODCHOP
10x45
10x45

Not a bad workout. Had to skip my intervals because I have to get on a conference call for work in a few minutes.

Nutrition right back on track, too.
