Sounds like you are on my Dad's path to really knowing the ER staff. After the finger-hedge-trimmer incident you can look forward to falling off the ladder (or really, having the ladder fall backwards with you on it) when cleaning the gutters. I don't want to spoil things anymore than that , but there was one year where they really did start to recognize him.

Thankfully, that's about the only job that I hire out!!!
But, yes, they did recognize me the third time!
Funny thing was that all the nurses kept coming to to see me to find out about my GWF! They were all excited to go order one.
Argh. I complete bonked at the gym tonight. Was supposed to be 15 rep sets of lower body. I made it thru a warmup of O/H squats and then on to my work sets of 3 sets of 15 backs squats. I was feeling like it wasn't going to happen, but I moved on to my deads and made it thru 1 and 1/2 sets of 15 and then nothing. Nothing. My arm was KILLING me STILL from the tetanus shot, and I just couldn't go on. Was feeling so beat and just whipped. Bleh.
I'm just going to call it a day and move on to upper body next.
Wow I'm amazed you're able to hold onto the weights with stitches in your hand. Doesn't it affect your grip???
Hope you feel better soon.
I was afraid of that, too, but the stitches are on the "pad" or tip of my index finger. I have them bandaged up. So far, they've only bothered me on the cable row and the deadlift. It truly is the arm that's the worst -- I couldn't care less about the stitches at this point. STILL in pain this morning. I guess either I just keep taking advil or working out ain't going to happen.
You poor thing! Let yourself heal. I am sure those shots are loaded with crap to cause the worn down feeling you are dealing with. Hang in there and fast recovery to you!

I think they make them painful so that you'll have a really clear memory of getting one so that in 3 or 4 years when you are injured again and they ask "when was your last tetanus booster?" you can confidently state (or shout) "June 2009 and don't come near me with that needle ".
Visiting your log to seek shelter in your bro-free haven! That made me laugh just now. Congrats on the workout. Glad a few stitches aren't getting in the way of your longstanding, close personal relationships with heavy metal objects. Was just reading our old logs! Amazing how far you me and Ginger have come from our beginning days of challenge 1. You posted in my log about working yourself up to the 45 bar! You sure surpassed that goal!

Rofl...she's G.I. Jane...no silly stitches are gonna stand in her way!! Nice workout!
OK, so everything is back to normal....finger....arm....goo d to go! Will try to squeeze in a workout today. If not, tomorrow for sure. I'm been sort of stagnant on the diet front trying to decide if I REALLY want to bulk during the summer or not. I decided not really. All this hard work, I'd rather look good in my tank tops while I can! So, I will be doing UD2 while I maintain for the summer. I'm good at low carb and carb cycling, and this gives me a nice big carb load once a week and maintenance level carbs on the weekend. Should be good.
Today's observations:
- I'm at one of the local organic health food markets in line at the checkout. I put my four items on the checkout belt and the guy behind me starts unloading bag after bag after bag of celery onto the belt behind my stuff. I say to him, "That's a hella ton of celery", to which he replies, "It's good for the libido". Wow, what do you say to that?? I just said "huh". Not a questioning "huh", just a generic "huh". He's just grinning from ear to ear. Man, I couldn't wait to get outta there!
- On the way home, I see this most beautiful red mustang. Just beautiful and in mint condition. The plates read "SIK ONE EH". I thought that was the best personalized plate I've seen in a long time.

"Oh. Sorry you need help with that"? or "Wow, you're so open about your problem"?

OK, be back later.
Ooooooooo was it a new one or a vintage one??? *drool*

Your favorite copy cat wants to know how it compares to WSFL diet? Is it more or less aggressive? Does it have a template or some other system? I need something for after WSFL in a few weeks and I like to follow a program. Will proably still have 10 to lose.
No template or meal plans or anything. It's definitely for those who have a handle on nutrition and macros, meal planning, tracking, etc. It's very strict -- no room at all for any cheating during the cycling. VERY low carb for 3 1/2 days, then a major carb load. It's for women who are 22% BF or lower.
Very specific types of workouts to be followed on certain days. Again, no real template. You need to build the workout yourself, basically, based upon the requirements for the workout (ie sets, reps, bodypart, etc).
