Default Flabber-gasted to Flabber-blasted

Flabbergasted, (adj.) appalled by discovering how much weight one has gained.

Well it's about time to blast this fat of me....after taking the better part of 8 months off and not really working out all that hard before that I've managed to stay under 200 lbs. My goal is to drop down to 180 by Christmas.

Not sure what my program will be consisting of...some elements of TT and some of Alwyn's complexs...I'll post that next week as I figure it out this weekend.

So there you have it...well sort of...and my a picture to mark the occasion.

God damn 5:30 am work outs are a bitch...It'll take a bit for my body to adjust to this...in the meantime I am try to do enough to make a difference.

My equipment...Bowflex, set of 25lbs dumbells (the adjustable kind) and BB w/150lbs of weight

My schedule is Mon/Wed/Fri = alternate between A & B
Tuesday/Sun - rest
Thurs/Sat - Cardio - of some sort

Work out A
1a - Leg press
1b - lateral raises

2a - Chest Press
2b - RDL

3a Cable rows
3b - Tornado chops

Work out B

Pull ups
Thrusters
arm curls/kick backs (super set)...I want sleeve ripping guns

Most mornings - 4 eggs omlete w/potatoes and peppers (half after shower the rest at 9am) Coffee

Lunch - tuna or salmon on a salad

Boiled egg snacks

supper some red meat on the bbq lots of veggies

AS for the food...if I can cut back on the coffee to just one a day, and the crap snacks.

Time is a premium still as I am growing my business and hold down my full time job (feels like I'm working two full time jobs) at least until the business can replace my current salary.

I need to keep this work out quick and high energy...I try to get it done in 45 min.

Yeah I'll post some pics this week.

Good Luck with the weight loss and achieving those "Sleeve Ripping Guns. You may find it somewhat difficult to add muscle while reducing calories. But as you lose weight and continue working out you will achieve that ripped look most of us are after.

Well I go on holidays next week so I'm spending this week getting the weight and fine tuning my routine...a week at the beach will do me wonders...then 5 days in Atlanta for a convention...I know I don't want to come back to this mind numbing job....
I'll get some cardio in during the holidays between swimming, running golf and sex I should maintain until I get going full bore on the workouts...

Didn't get real cardio last night, unless wedding gift shopping counts! then story time with the kids and paper work for my biz...bed by 11:30...5:30 is like getting tossed from a truck.

Did some stretching...going to the stay with friends at the beach for a couple days..getting the roller blades repaired next week so I can do some quick cardio at night.

Mornin workout

3 sets
10 x 170 bench
15 x 150 RDL (yup this way light)
15 x 25 curls
10 x bw bench dips
30 x 25 tornado chops

I really need to get to bed earlier for this to work for me...I caught myself reading at 11 pm which make 5:30 am daunting.

I did get some general fitness in at the beach on Saturday...tassing the kids overhead....thrusters pay off

Thanks for dropping in....

It sure is...I try to use it as a badge of honor...what I need to do is have some quick four exercise super sets for those ass-dragging mornings...the 20 to 30 min. nut buster...then go puke in the shower..if anyone has some ideas.

**Damn-it** I missed this morning...bed late and slept through the alarm...my wife gave me the elbow to turn it off....but we did take advantage of being without the kids last night...

I'm finally paying closer attention to my diet (god I hate that word) I should say I'm eating cleaner...more eggs, veggies, fruit, almonds...It is easier this time of year as everyone's gardens are overflowing.

Goal for this month is to get consistent with the workouts...make it a habit.

I got one this morning....my brain was in a fuzz so I grabbed the print out of Alwyn's Complexes article from T-nation and did complex A....holy F**k

Thank goodness I was light on the weight..I still felt like puking after a shower and am still breaking into a sweat. It look like this...keep in mind I do this fasted...straight out of bed into the dungeon.

3 rounds (no rest between exercises just regrip about 90 sec between rounds)
with 80 lbs Barbell

Bent-row x 10
Hang-clean x 10
Front-squat & press (thruster) x10 (last set was a 8)
BW jump-squat x 10

I got this done in about 20 min. I did question my sanity and why my ass wasn't back in bed. As brutal as this was I'll do it again..I'll up the weight by 50 lbs and drop the reps to 5.

Food
Breakfast (post workout)
Two eggs with ww toast and a tomato + Coffee
Snack
Almonds & fruit & boil egg white
Lunch
6oz beef patty + tomato + fruit
Snack
Boiled egg white + fruit + almonds
Dinner
?

I think I'd be careful about raising the weight too quickly in the complexes. You might want to start by raising 10 or 20 lbs and seeing how that goes. Otherwise you may be permanently assuming the position before the porcelain throne!
