Think of it this way. If your payment is 350/mo then you only have to drive it 4.5 monthes more than you want to, to breakeven on the repair.
Did they put a bow on it?
Sorry about this. Hopefully, this is the last thing.

Well...I'm wasting time in the office today as I didn't have enough holliday time to take this week off.
Yup the car repair bill sucks..c'est la vie!
Christmas was a good time...lots of food, lots of family, lack of sleep, got out to skate a few times with the kids shinny game or two, sledding, and Wii...that thing rocks...except my 9 yr old kicks my ass in bowling already.

The guantlet has been thrown down...I just joined the Men's six month challenge...the plan is simple...I like simple....clean up the nutrition...no extras and work out consistently...I'm sticking with Alwyn's Complexes and supplmenting that with some cardio on off days....
Pics and measurements this weekend.

Complex A - 4 sets x 5
105lbs (bar included)
bent row
hang clean
front squat-pushpress
jump squat (bw)
good-morning
breakfast-two boiled egg whites, small banana, coffee and water
snack - boiled egg, small carrot muffin, water
Lunch - 3 cups spinach salad with 1/2 cup roast beef, yellow pepper
snack - 1/4 cup almonds small banana, water
dinner - ?
This will be my basic diet plan for the next few months....keep the portions small and more often....increasing the water will help as well.
The average week will have three complex work outs and two cardio/core sessions...

Yesterday
I stayed home with a sick kid..
Cardio day
15 min rowing
10 eliptical
Ate good considering I had access to a lot of crap at home....My daughter was running the clock for my cardio and wouldn't let me rest or slow down...damn she's a tough coach.
Today
Complex B 4 sets of 5
105 lbs (bar included)
RDL
front squat - push press
reverse lunge
I got up late...alarm was set too low to hear it...pushed this out in 20 min to get back on my morning schedule.
I've found my self to be hungry just by ramping up my activity this week....I'm loving this challenge...I'd forgotten how competitive I really am.

This morning....
Cardio...
15 min rowing
10 min eliptical
Stretching
Food...
1/2 cup yogurt w/1/2 cup blueberries, coffee
2 boiled eggs and mandarin orange
Luch is some form of deli sandwich (lunch meeting)
boiled egg 1/2 red pepper and carrots
dinner - ?
My wife has started back with her work outs...she is getting into yoga and it is working for her...the sum effect of this is that as a family we are leaning out the food and the kids both head to the basement to "work-out"...If nothing else the are developing a consistent activity level.

Sounds and looks good Tin Man! This challenge may be more fun that I ever thought it would be; glad I started it!
And Good Luck!

Friday Morning....
Complex C
80 lbs bar
Deadlift
High-pull on toes
Clean & Squat
Military Press
Jump Lunge (alt legs)
It looks rather easy but it made me sweat....fast...The weight could have been heavier but my overhead press is a weak point and since this prescribes no rest or regripping between movements I use the max for the weakest exercise.
I may try to to the clean - squat as a snatch and squat...I'll see. Closing out the first week of this challenge has been a great start...I've been consistent for the first time in a long time...GAME ON

No Cardio last night..had an interview...to conduct...
This Morning ...Complex D looked daunting so I did A instead...I didn't sleep well so I forced this one out as best I could with low energy....I'll get some ab/core work in tonight before bed.
