Nice workout, Tom!!

I think I'd chew my arm off if I didn't eat for 2-3 hours after I woke up! I'm so used to eating something within an hour-ish (after coffee)! And I usually wake up STARVING anyway!

Way to go! nice increases. The step ups with shoulder press seem like a nice challenge. Those are some real interesting exercises. Can't say as I have heard of some of them. I think the reverse lunge would be a odd one for me.

Keep up the good work!

Yeah I think that simple change (as well as a snack before bed) will help a lot to keep metabolism going.

Well this is more for balance than anything - basically you step back into a lunge and at the same time, do what I'd call a front raise, but Tim calls a clean. I really think it is helping my balance because it's preventing me from overthinking the lunge because I also have to get the dumbbell overhead. Also, when I say unilateral, I mean one arm at a time.

I don't know what got into me on the pull-ups but I felt like I could keep moving that pin down - it was pretty wicked. It's funny, because when I did this workout with Tim, I felt it a bit more - was more tired quicker etc. But here, for whatever reason I felt like I could tear it up. I'm hoping I get the same feeling/performance on Wednesday, but I won't be too shocked if I don't. (Thinking that today was one of those days where it all came together.)

Just popping in to let you know how much I hate you. I'll probably hate you more tomorrow but I won't be able to lift my arms to type by then so I'm letting you know now.

Hey, if you can still type now you didn't push yourself hard enough, slacker.

Hey Tom ... good stuff happening in here ... I LOVE my KBs! But, yes, TGUs are the work of the devil. If you are looking for a great heart-thumping workout, try anything by Anthony DiLuglio at Art of Strength. He's a great guy and the workouts are killer!

Thanks Julie - I checked out the website and it looks cool - very much a Ross-type school of thinking. However, I intend to make Tim earn his keep and devise a kettlebell workout for me. What size bells do you have?

Default Revising Nutrition

Startup: Cottage Cheese and Fruit (Banana)
Breakfast: 2 Scrambled Eggs, Ham, Onions, Peppers, Slice of Pepperjack Cheese
Lunch/Pre-Workout Nutrition: Half of a Chicken Salad Wheat Wrap
Snack/Post-Workout Nutrition: Half of a Chicken Salad Wheat Wrap
Dinner
: Varies, but tonight I had a Chicken Breast with a Tandoori Rub
Shutdown: Cottage Cheese

Notes:

This will be my new meal plan for the next week and a half to see what direction I'm moving in weight-wise. As it was, I was getting up at 7 or 7:30am and not eating til 9:30am or so, effectively missing breakfast. So, per Tim's suggestion I've added a Startup and Shutdown meal. Since I've starting doing this, I've noticed that I've been waking up hungry, and that I've started getting hungry in anticipation of my next meal. I'm therefore hoping my metabolism is responding favorably to the changes.

If my weight is not moving in the right direction after a few weeks, then the cheese and tortilla wraps will be the first to go.

More veggies are desperately needed so I have to make an effort to include them in the mix. I try to get spinach in the wrap when I can, but this area needs improvement.

I've started to convert myself from drinking diet soda (Tim think's it's just like regular soda, except for the calories) to water, which is probably the biggest part (in terms of things I have to cut back on) of this plan.

I was wondering about this!
Eat your veggies!

I'm curious to see how this goes for you. Good luck.

Hey Tom -

Even doing TNT where veggies should be taking center stage, I find its still a conscious effort to include them. Looks like you are doing well! Do you feel better energy-wise or is it too soon to tell?

Nutrition looks good. Hope it goes well for you. I use to drink soft drinks all the time. Now its either water, coffee, or beer. Mostly water these days.
