Nice work. I've done one of those once and I don't look forward to doing it again!

back to the food -- I think it is really best to let it cool overnight so the fat will come out of solution and float up. If you just want to remove whatever has already come up to the top but not solidified (because you don't have time), you can try an ice cube wrapped in cheesecloth and skim the surface with it.

Thanks - I feel like I'm getting somewhat of a handle on the workout now.

Good idea - I'll have to remember that for next time.

Thanks - I was kind of shocked when I got to my Ipod to turn it off. My main concerns now are form with the pushups and deadlifts, and the counting of the floorwipers and clean/presses. And as I've noted I think the pullup machine at the Well is more suited to my ability (or lack thereof), so I'm hoping to make progress there.

yeah the floorwiper counting thing is a mystery to me as well. Seems like it should be one side, other side, middle = 1 rep. Then Doing 50 of those counting that way seems wrong too.

In the Men's Health video, Craig Ballantyne seems to count left, center, right, center as 1 rep, for 50 reps. Then he indicates that the clean/presses should be done 25 each arm. For some reason the counting schemes should be reversed to me. To me the floorwipers should be done 25 times that way and the clean/press done 50 times each arm.

Should be - might do some cooking later, but right now I might listen to some music, since I rarely get to do that during the week.
Edited to add: A 2-disc set of Rachmaninov's Preludes has come to hand, and I just listened to the first one - great stuff.

Oh man, I am jealous and at work right now too. I was on a jet at 6:30AM, in a meeting all day and will be on a jet again at 6:30PM. My hope is to get home in time to do a tiny bit of guitar practice before I pass out for the night. Thank god tomorrow is Sat.

Thanks! The chili is a hit - my dad asked if he could try some and ended up having a bowl. I like it too to be honest. It tastes lighter than a meat-based chili. And it uses beer. I used a locally brewed beer - Stegmaier 150 (a Vienna lager) and it came out well. I'm sorely tempted to try the stout I have on tap next time.
