That's a huge accomplishment Tom, to have lost so much weight.
But yet, even more impressive is actually your increased fitness level and confidence to tackle exercises that are actually still too scary for me to do. Very inspirational indeed.

Give Henry V a go. Patrick Doyle's score for the film is really good too.

This coming from the gal who routinely programs random exercises into her program. Which ones are too scary for you?

congrats tom on a job well done. my 70 pound journey was also very slow and deliberate. I have often thought all of us slow consistent losers need to start a "smallest loser" club. I have to admit, I get sucked into watching the biggest loser, but rarely do I finish watching an episode without feeling that they are not doing the right thing---this week it was watching one of the guys do barbell bicep curls, with way too much weight for his ability, his hips were just a-thrustin away, and bob the famous trainer that everybody wants, didn't correct him or comment on it. but I still watch them, go figure.

Thanks Tracy - it's a good example of small steps taken daily getting one closer to a goal.

Indeed - when I hear about others who've lost a good amount of weight it always seems to have been a lot quicker than me. I just wonder if they'll keep it off. And incidentally the job isn't done yet - still have more to lose, but it's nice to be able to stop a bit on the journey and admire the view.

Default Spinning

Today's workout was spinning and it was a good workout. Mainly hills, but some sprints both on and off hills to make us work. Good time indeed.

Due to scheduling difficulties, I'm not meeting with my trainer this week. But, to keep in the spirit of having a mix it up day, I've decided to try a workout I've not done before, and of a type I've not done before. I'll need to iron out some specifics, but I'm looking forward to giving it a go. I'm also not saying what it is, because the final version may be different from the printed version, depending on what I am able to do. Still, it's nice to have this freedom to choose what I want to do.

Ooooh...you dog...teasing us like that!

Don't worry about changing it up from the original. Just make it your own! I got hooked on the "freedom" thing, too. I can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve!!!

Tom, you look great! What an amazing accomplishment. Do you ever get weirded-out (sorry; I teach middle school and these phrases slip into my daily usage) by your reflection? I remember when I lost about 40 lbs, that I'd walk by a window and wouldn't recognize my reflection.

Not teasing - and it's not that much of a big deal, honestly. It's not like I'm gonna go and do the Crossfit WOD or anything. lol (Actually today I could as it's a rest day lol).

Thanks Tracey, it's been about 2.5 years, but the journey's far from over.
