Maybe someone would have a good idea up in the training section for rehabbing your shoulder a bit???

Thank ya thank ya! Actually looking ahead it seems like it will be a pretty compliant day overall, depending on what I have for dinner. I might splurge and have jambalaya or something similar. (Going to a local Cajun restaurant. )

If it keeps up I might go and have it seen locally because yesterday wasn't pretty.

Happy birthday.. it seems you've done a lot of celebrating already this past weekend.
Anything special for your collegues today? For us, it's mandatory to hand out birth day pie (rarely something else) at work.

Thanks everyone - at work, since they know I'm low carbing it, we decided to order Chinese food (Chicken with Garlic Sauce, Wonton Soup, Egg Drop Soup). In lieu of cake, someone made a jello in a baking dish and put whipped cream on it, and decorated it like a cake. So doing well so far.

Happy birthday!!!!

Now you need to update your profile so you show up in the birthdays list! We're not psychic, you know. Except, perhaps, Biskit.

Sounds like you had a great trip to Philly.

BTW, like the new avatar! You can see that you've lost quite a bit of weight just from your face.

I looked for my birthday at the bottom of the forum, but I didn't see it listed. I didn't realize I didn't fill in my info for it.

Thumbs down The name we will not mention!

I really enjoy myself in Philadelphia - next time (Dec. 1st) I'll be seeing the Renoir Landscapes exhibit at the Museum of Art, and I hope to get in at the City Tavern this time around, or failing that, I think a hearty dinner at Ludwig's Garten would definitely be in order. This will be followed by my next concert, which will be Schumann's rarely performed oratorio Das Paradies und die Peri. Simon Rattle will be conducting - although I have some CDs with him conducting, I've never heard him live. The very fine Philadelphia Singers Chorale (whom I'd heard a couple seasons ago in a great performance of Beethoven's 9th) and of course, the Philadelphia Orchestra will give Schumann his due. Incidentally, for anyone interested in hearing the fabulous Philadelphians, they have a recording deal with Ondine records - so far they've released symphonies by Mahler (No. 6), and Tchaikovsky (Nos. 4 & 5, I think), along with a few other lesser known works, including the Poulenc concerto I mentioned above. Also, the musicians of the orchestra were interviewed/caught on tape for the documentary Music from the Inside Out.

As for enjoying culture I suppose that's true - a couple of seasons ago I subscribed to the opera, the ballet and the orchestra. It was a great, but exhausting season. But what shows - Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake (with a very imaginatively re-done 1st and 3rd acts), Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro and Rossini's The Barber of Seville, and all 9 Beethoven Symphonies performed live. How could I not sign on?

Still, it's not all highbrow culture, as I love the new Philadelphia baseball stadium, and really should get back there to see a few games. Ditto too the Eagles' new home. As a kid my dad would take me and my brother to the Vet and the Spectrum to see all the Philly teams play. So this would be more a resumption/continuation of tradition.

At any rate, I guess I should get things done. Thanks for reading.
Please do not mention the name of a certain Philadelphia professional football team as I am currently on the ledge and don't need much incentive to jump!
