Tom, how often does Tim give you a new workout? One of the things I was thinking about doing after finishing NROLFW is to hire a trainer to come up with an exercise plan for me like every 3 weeks or something. Can't really afford more than that, but I was wondering if I'd get bored with doing the same workout for 3 weeks. Maybe the trainer could give me an A and B workout?

Dunno - except that I'm guessing BSS + OHP will be part of the mix.

Tim gives me a workout every 6 weeks or so. I train with him once a week, and then do the workout he gives me the other two times. I should think a trainer could set you up with an A/B workout without too much difficulty. But once you had it, I'd think you'd be good for 4-6 weeks.

Oktoberfest Week Continues...
I've decided to take a "Diet break" running through Sunday so as to be able to sample all the Oktoberfest beers I can get my hands on. That said, I had....
Weyerbacher's Imperial Pumpkin Ale - Heavily spiced pumpkin ale, though very tasty too. Pretty expensive though as it cost $9.99 for a 4 pack at the local Wegmans. I like it, but i'm not sure I like it at that price point. The Southampton I have on tap is less spicy, and less intense, but probably more of a session beer in that its spices are more subdued.

Listening to Tom Waits now - "The Piano Has Been Drinking" - seems entirely appropriate to my mood right about now. Not that anyone cares, but there it is... Seems somehow appropriate - Small Change - one of the best albums... EVER.

Oh man I have not listened to Tom Waits in a really long time. One of my ex-coworkers use to play Mule Variations all the time. That was a great sounding record. I may need to look into buying that soon.
Have fun tasting the Oktoberfest beers!

Yes, you really need to buy it. Today.
As for the Oktoberfest beers, I've been quite pleased with my purchases so far. I'll have to check the bottle list at the beer bar tonight because the Penn Oktoberfest which was on tap last week has since disappeared. *sigh*. But there's other beers at other places that need drinking... so the quest continues.

I had them on the brain since reading your journal! I have done these, and they are horrible...I just read that you should only both moving to these if you can do at least 2 mins in a plank, which I am pretty sure I can't, but...I like 'em anyway!

This is going to sound like a wiseass question, but it's not, honest. What is good vodka? Near as I can tell it's not taste, but rather the one that burns you up the least when you drink it.

Wow, how entirely appropriate lol. Great picture and capshun! Yeah Tim (my trainer) had me do one just to see if I could do it. What with all the beer I've had this week I doubt I'll be seeing a repeat performance of that move any time soon, so thanks for the pic.

I always kinda figured "good vodka" was the kind that didn't leave your head pounding so bad the next morning . . .
Or, at least the kind that doesn't come in a plastic bottle.

They all taste alike to me, but I have some friends that can pick out their favorites in taste tests. I've seen them. No urban legend.
