As usual, this bodyweight workout left me almost totally wiped out. I just stretched out my hammock in the shade for about 1/2 hour and then spent about another 1/2 floating on an air mattress in the lake. Still a bit sore today.

Hey...great workout, Egham! I've been flipping through the BW manual, several times now actually. At some point, I'll try it. I just don't know if I want to do one thing for so long...6 months. There is something about being able to see the end, usually within several weeks, that really makes you push.
Did you go through Phase 1, or skip right to Phase 2?

Thanks!
I've been doing the bodyweight workouts when I travel and, until very recently, never did them at home since I have access to the gym and also some weights here at home. I'm doing them this week while I decide which TT workout to focus on for the next few weeks.
I used to take the 4-week program materials with me when I traveled and work from that. When I started doing some bodyweight workouts again within the past month, I looked through the 6-month materials and just picked something. I never did anything from phase I.
CB also offers a 4-week program and another 4 week program for athletes, should a 6 month program appear too daunting. Alternatively, you might consider doing 2 or 3 phases of the 6-month program and then move on to something else, perhaps to return to other phases later. There shouldn't be any problems from mixing things up a bit.

Nutrition - Full compliance
Exercise - None
Mrs. Egham's vertigo flared up again after a couple of pretty good days and she's quite upset about that. I stayed close.

Good work on the nutrition -- that's definitely the hardest thing for me.
Wishing you and Mrs. Egham the best, it has to be tough dealing with the vertigo.

Yea, a GREAT BIG Boo Hiss....and a few other words thrown in as well.
This time, we think we know what the trigger was. It struck suddenly after she stood up at her desk and twisted her torso to look at something off to the side. She felt something in her upper back/shoulder/neck give/pop (sort of like what we've both done with our lower backs a few times) and that set off the vertigo again, along with shoulder and neck pain. There appears to be a real sensitive line running down inside her neck....She set off a round of spinning when she put pressure on that when rubbing it (too hard) yesterday.
One of the things the ENG test technician in Chapel Hill told us is that problems with vertebrae 1,2, & 5 (1&2, at least, have been giving her problems for years) have been suspected of triggering vertigo in others. We're wondering if those problems were at the root of this latest episode. We're asking a couple of local doctors if they can recommend an Orthopedist we can consult.
Our goal these days is to identify triggers so that we can work to minimize triggering events. One day at a time.

Thanks, Lance. When it comes to nutrition, you just have to keep at it until the program becomes second nature for you. I really struggled with PN for several months (through the individualization phase) before I finally reached the point where compliance is pretty much a given barring unusual circumstances....and I can deal with most of those these days.
I've been fortunate to have a supportive wife in this. She doesn't follow the plan herself, but she has modified her eating to more readily accommodate what I'm doing.....We don't have to cook or eat separately.
Unlike you, we don't have kids. They could make sticking to a nutrition plan more difficult, although I think that - with some creativity - there may be some middle ground where everyone's mostly happy.
Thanks for the kind wishes. It is difficult to deal with - especially for her. We'll have to adjust and adapt....one day at a time.

Egham, does Mrs. keep a journal or notes to help her record her experiences?

Both of us contribute to the journal. She simply can't do it when the vertigo hits so I end up making a good number of the entries. Hopefully, it will help us figure out how to minimize the attacks.

Nutrition: Full compliance
Exercise: Hill HIIT ....Humid, but not too bad. Jumped in the lake to cool off after a few stretches.
According to UPS, my TRX should arrive on Tuesday! I'm ready!
Mrs. Egham started perking up in the afternoon and continues to improve. It sure is good to see her moving around again!

Will do and, thanks! I hope you never have to deal with vertigo. After watching her trying to cope with it, I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Thanks, Victoria! We will do it.....I just hope we can do it relatively expeditiously. I really think that if we can address her neck and shoulder issues, we'll have eliminated a major trigger. We also need to be even more alert to developing ear infections. So far, these two problems seem to drive most of her vertigo.

Nutrition: Full Compliance
Exercise: I had planned to run, but wimped out and headed into the lake with the aquajogger again. 45 minutes of relatively vigorous steady state exercise.....
Not a bad day -
- I had a massage in the late afternoon and it was one of those wonderful, enjoyable ones where the masseuse could not find any kinks or knots to work out. I left feeling totally relaxed.......I needed that!
- Mrs. Egham continued to improve.

Have fun with the new TRX!
Good news that Mrs. E is feeling better. I can only imagine how terrible it would be to experience vertigo.
