Try for 5 circuits in 20 minutes next time and work yourself up from there. It's all about creating max intensity...infinately. Ross gives all sorts of methods to increase intensity (like we need it). He even gives variations to make the burpees HARDER! When you're ready for that...you're ready for anything.

ACK!
I'll stick to hitting myself with the bar when I deadlift... that's the only kind of agony I need.... :p

That was it. No more could be done. My triceps physically hurt right now. I do not want to know how they will feel tomorrow, not to mention the rest of me...
Leave me to my plum and whey.

Nice work on that one! If you're not used to metcon type work you picked a doozy to start with -- it is a really killer. I like to think of it this way: Intense metabolic conditioning workouts make all other workouts seem easy by comparison

Nice job on the GPP workout, Og! The majority of the population could not do 4 circuits, or even get close. Great job!!!

Hopefully, the soreness won't last long.

Well after the initial soreness passed my lats? wtf? decided they wanted a turn. I literally could not sleep on my side.
It has long been an idea that doing some bodyweight stuff first thing in the AM would be a good way to start the day. And although I have typically worked out in the morning it is several hours after I woke up.
Today I finally managed to convince myself to do some stuff.
3 circuits.
50 star jumps
5 burpees
5 push-ups
10 bodyweight squats.
Wasn't looking to kill myself, just get going. I still doubt I would be able to even do 10 circuits of that.

You WILL be able to do 10 circuits of that if you keep it up. Nice!

I see you're a glutton for punishment. Another good workout, and I agree with Jill, you'll get to 10 before you know it.

Hey I bet you will be able to do 10 circuits! I believe in you.
I know being sore sucks, BUT it's the good kind of sore. You know, kind of like a loose tooth that you wiggle on.

Nice job, Og. Is a star jump the same thing as a jumping jack?

Yeah, I do find that getting in something to wake you up early on (in the first half hour or so of waking) is kinda nice... I'm usually just doing elliptical for that. Try it for a few days in a row, it kinda grows on you.

Lifty: I am sure, although this wasn't designed to be a test of that, I am sure a morning routine of it toned down won't hurt
Victoria: Yes. jumping jack.
Aoife: We shall see. It was ok this morning, but I felt pretty worn out and weak. I have a stationary trainer, but I am pretty tempted to buy a cheap exercsie bike as well.
Thanks for popping in and saying hi! I am seriously bad at returning the favor! I usually read them, but don't always contribute.

Seriously, if you look at our logs lately, what's there to contribute? Although, pictures of hotties with killer knockers are always welcome on my log... so are da monkeyz!
