That's a good interval workout, bud. You guys seem to be in a real groove with the 'challenge'. Keep up the excellent motivation!

When I went for my bike ride this weekend I was shocked at how easy it was, considering I hadn't been on the bike at all in a month or so.
Also I went running with the roommate the other night. He started awhile ago and has been running everyday pretty much. Me. Maybe twice a week if I am lucky. No trouble keeping his pace.
I will attribute that largely to the intervals. With success staring you in the face, how do you turn your back on it?

You don't. You use the previous success to build on the next one

61 Day Challenge
June 27, 2007
Resistance:
(Suspension and bodyweight)
Aprox 60s between sets
1a) Suspension Chest Press: 3x10
1b) Suspension Inverted Rows: 3x10
2a) Suspension single leg squats: 3x10
2b) Suspension Deltoid Y flys: 3x10
3a) hamstring bridges: 3x10
(trying to invoke the glutes more, I am still getting cramping in the hamstrings)
4a) Front Plank: 40s
4b) Right Side Plank: 30s
4c) Left Side Plank: 30s
PWO: Whey and Water.
The single leg squats were hard, but I am WAY better at them than I was, that's for sure. They are what really crank the body temperature.

Great intervals, Og. I just started doing them on the bike, too!

Thanks!
One other thing to add.
Although the scale at home has shown definite weight loss and a lower overall BF%, the gym scale remains pretty much constant. Stupid gym scale.

It's good to actually be doing something and eating according to a plan again. Definetely makes you feel better about yourself.

Thanks fey!
Finished off yesterday with practice. Not really anything 61dc related, but still more than a good workout.
No matter how much I workout, how good a shape I think I am in. Putting on a bunch of equipment and then a helmet with foam padding always destroys me. Something about the body not being able to ditch it's heat I suspect.
Either way we fough a few individual fights with a bunch of new guys. I would soon learn that despite how much wind I was sucking, they needed to get water and rest far more often.
I hadn't fought for about a year, year and a half maybe. Infact there was two of us there that hadn't fought in that long for pretty much the exact same reason.
Then we held a little tournament, although we probably had 20 guys out, which seems like a HUGE number for one of our practices. At the end of it there was two guys left. Me and the other guy who hadn't fought in 1 1/2 years.
ha suckers. Long live the old guys.
It was a pretty fun time, while I was fighting anyhow. I am now officially bruised, battered and sore.
Rock on.
Og.

But did you get the hand of the fair maiden?
(Or was it just a sausage-fest?)

The field of honor was definetely a sausage fest, we apparently have no female fighters right now.
As for getting the hand of the fair maiden...yeah I didn't really see any hands I wanted to get....
