Got a run in today. It's going to be warm and humid today, so I did it early. Ran 3.4 miles in 30:05 min. Did the fartlek method (intervals). It was tough. I was very happy to get back home!

Fun with Fartleks!!! Very wise to get the run in early, Lance. I'm wondering why I am still sitting here on the computer while the thermometer keeps rising!

I continue to be amazed at the 23 mile bike trips -- especially if half of that is on the way TO work! That's pretty awesome, especially with the increasing heat...

As for the brownie problem, I've found that a chocolate whey smoothie with a little bit of peanut butter, 1/2 cup cottage cheese (or less), and 1/2 a banana will usually cure the sweet tooth...

But, alas, even that is gone (for awhile) as I'm going to be on Adam's Diet (TNT) for awhile... back to teeth-brushing for me!

Lance, you officially motivated me! I read this, then thought to myself, "Git yer ass down there and do some HIITs!" Thanks for the kick in the butt!

Thanks, and thanks for the smoothie idea -- I'll have to try that, I have all the ingredients.

Today I'm not sure I'd say fun with fartleks -- it's been a while since I've done them, and it kicked my butt. But I felt great when I finished!

Well...I did the dreaded NROL FLII-B workout this afternoon. Man, it was a killer. I absolutely hate the Bulgarian split squat w/ overhead press. I had to rest between legs to actually finish a set. And, lower body russian twists are no cakewalk either. I almost had to crawl out of my basement today.

Superset w/ 60s Rest:
Snatch grip deadlift: 3x12x150
T push up: 3x12xbw

Superset w/ 60s Rest:
Bulgarian split squat w/ overhead press: 3x12x10 (e.h.)
Chin up/lat pulldown: 7 chinups then 5 pulldowns, 4 chinups then 8 pulldowns, 3 chinups then 9 pulldowns

Superset w/ 60s Rest:
Romanian deadlift/bent over row: 3x12x80
Lower body Russian twist: 3x12xbw

I cursed several times during this workout. And felt like a baby by the time I was finished.

Teee heee....good job!!!

I'm actually considering swapping out one of my lunge exercises for the BSSs because I miss them so much!

The thing I loved about the workout ... finishing with LB RT ... you get to lie on the floor for a while when it's done!!

FL2 is no fun....that's why it's good. Keep up the good work.

Join the club. Those things suck!

Isn't it funny how much more do-able things seem on paper?
