No workout today, but eating was right on.

Tomorrow is the last day of school for the kids -- they are having some friends over and we'll be playing some serious (not!) kickball in the backyard. Should be a fun time, everyone is excited.

Strawberries are delicious, but they are pretty small, so we pick a lot, but it doesn't seem like we have a lot -- they go fast when they're small.

Mmmm...I love asparagus -- but the feeling isn't shared by many others in my household, so we don't have it very often -- you're lucky! Our strawberry plants really took off in their second year, so I bet next year will be really good for you.

kiikii -- is this the normal winter season for you right now? Hope the weather holds so you can get some biking in! Australia seems like such a neat place -- I really want to visit someday.

Hey Newman -- I know, we traveled through Oklahoma in early April, and there was snow and cold -- not what we were expecting!

It must be nice to be able to bike to work!! I'm a part-time teacher and I would sweat too death if I biked to work... and my school is only about 3 miles from my house!! I guess that's what you get living in TX!
That's the one problem -- getting too hot while biking. We'll see how it goes as we get more into summer. Our work is moving to a new location, and they'll have a shower, so that will help if I need it.

I think it's cool you're a teacher. My wife is a substitute teacher, and it's always interesting to hear what she get's involved in each day. I think teaching is really a hard job, and we, in general, under-appreciate all the work that teachers do to teach our kids. So -- I really appreciate that you are a teacher, and help others to learn!

I LOVE kickball. I remember playing it all the time during recess when I was a kid. We played a lot of Kick The Can, Four Square, even Hopscotch. But, that's when kids were kicked out of the house because it's was such a nice day. It's really too bad that kids don't play the same way we did. Have a blast, Lance!!!

Kickball game was sooo much fun last night. Got in a bike ride to and from work as well yesterday -- 23 miles total. No planned exercise today, although I have been out working in the yard. Weeds -- we have lots of them! Also am setting up a pool for the kids to use. We went out to lunch today, so it was hard to stay on plan nutritionally with all the temptations, but I did well!

Lance> We like to say here in Oklahoma if you don't like the weather, stick around for a little while...eventually you will. The weather here is always changing. You never know what to expect. Sunny in the 90s one day, windy with hail the next.. add a bit of tornado and you are sqaured away.

Eating was pretty good this weekend -- ate a little too much at a graduation party yesterday. Yesterday I had planned to get a run in, but that never did happen. I was active, though, went for a walk, worked in the yard, and played tennis with my daughter -- outside most of the day -- I was wiped out last night.

Today, rode bike to work -- so will get in 23 miles today!

Weather has been beautiful here the last few days. Highs in the upper 70's, lows in the low 60's - and not humid!

Yep sure is! It is sooo cold here at the moment. The mountain here usually has a snow covering this time of year! It hasn't been too bad, although I haven't got the bike out yet I have been for a couple of jogs outside
Keep up the good work!!

Biked to work again today -- 23 miles total. I was wiped out when I came home tonight -- and hungry. That was bad, because I ended up raiding the brownie pan -- and had about four of them. I feel bad about it now, but I just couldn't stop myself in the moment. Anyone have good ways to stop cravings?

I have found a good way to stop cravings is to brush my teeth.
Sounds a little odd, but it works for me. LOL, I also try to avoid keeping brownies around the house...a former version of me might have eaten the whole pan and then made some more....

Keep rockin the bike man! It seems to be serving you quite well....

I'm trying the teeth thing tonight -- we'll see how it goes. Thanks for the idea!
