Hey Shortie........ Welcome to JP's. You should start up a log and join in on the fun!!
Lauren, I am sorry to hear about the ab veins and while I know that was a goal of yours, consider just how much other progress you have made. What are some of those things? Can you identify them? Last time I checked you were kickin butt and takin names.
Meditate on this.........
Newman

Thanks, Newman. Not sure where i am improving to be honest. I am working hard, so that is something to be happy about.
It's a very real possibility that those shots were taken when I was sick (I lost a lot of weight this winter, near 10 lbs that didn't need to be lost) and can't remember if that was the time frame of those photos. SO maybe the veins are not in the cards if I'm at a reasonable weight. I don't know. I feel fat! Even though I'm not fat.

Hi Newman thanks for the welcome I keep a log already and have a hard enough time keeping up with that one let alone two . I do like to visit this site, lots of great information.
Lauren if that's a current photo of you in your avi I'd have to say you look pretty fantastic already.

Thanks, yes it is from a few weeks ago. I'm going to take some more photos today...
In a few weeks I will be getting a spray tan and BF will use his fancy high-falootin' high-res camera to capture some real muscle definition!
In the meantime I'll take pasty white pale ones with my crappy old camera.

Yesterday: instead of rest I did crazy stepmill cardio
Today I took a leisurely bike ride and did no weights. After four days of workouts in a row I needed a day off.
Tomorrow - weights!

Lying on the beach was a lot of fun today. I got a massage from the bf while there. So that was great.
I bought a food grinder to attach to my stand mixer today and unsuccessfully tried to make almond butter. It better work for the chicken.

Why do I get so hungry at night? Lately I have been saving my calories so I can eat lots after 7 p.m. ...

Dunno about you but being active works to blunt appetite. So, in effect I'm able to eat in a deficit much easier when I'm training than when I don't , which is a double whammy as eating more when you don't train, packs on the fat twice as fast.
On a micro-scale the same probably happens, viz. you're stressed from work and training in daytime and then finally at night, your body relaxes and suddenly realizes it's in need of food! Makes sense to save up for the night-time hunger.

I find no matter what amount I eat in the day time, the evening hunger comes. So I eat less during the day. No other real solution right now.

Hoo boy that was a good workout tonight. I sound like a hick. Oh well.
anyway, I got a random comment today from a girl at the gym that my butt is looking better or more rounded or something. I immediately had to calm my inner freak and make sure that doesn't mean "larger". Still, she said she saw changes in my legs!
I really have to update my google spreadsheet.
I just ground my own chicken and will make some yummy supper with that.

I was able to get out of 2 sets of 1.5-rep squats today because both racks were busy. I used the leg press instead. Thank...GOD.

I have been trying to get away from weighing all my food because it's gotten out of hand and I don't even enjoy it all that much. I tried to just put the scale away (snazzy digital one that weighs to the last gram or 1/8 oz.) but it kept coming back out. So today...I LENT IT TO MY TRAINER...
It is out of my house so there we are. She needs it to get ready for her comp. She didn't weigh her food last time but this time thought she might. She looked freaking absolutely hot anyway of course. She has a six-pack when she is not dieting.

Ugh I have the exact same problem so when you find the answer let me know. I hope getting rid of the scale helps seems like a smart move on your part. For some reason always measuring and weighing my food just stressed me out.

I started doing it over 2 years ago when I hired an online trainer and was on his plan for under 2 months before an injury made me stop. Then I just kept going. I'm still using fitday but feeling MORE stressed since I don't know how much the chicken I ate REALLY weighed. Is it 4 oz? 2.9? Who knows and who cares, right?
I took a couple shots last night. My 2.0 megapixel camera without a timer makes it tough. I got an arm and a leg shot. No ab shots are coming because there are no abs.
Anyway, I have decided that eating at night is fine if the totals are in line and I *think* they are. Whatever ....

I find weighing food, regularly, to be a bit excessive. For example, if I was at home with my mom, would I weigh my food before enjoying my dinner? Hell no, she'd call the loony bin on me.
