I don't know if the rice affects me. I usually stay away from it because my doctor said it could make inflammation in my bad joint worse. I followed the SCD for over a year and am pretty much still on it.
Did the traces of gluten bother you? What's wrong with lecithin?

Yes, grains generally bring acids into the body, which is also true for proteins (meat etc.) but at lest they bring valuable nutrients to you as opposed to the more junky grains. There's not all that much into them nutrient-wise, despite all the 'official' gov'tnutrition experts saying otherwise.
Soy bothers me and so does soy lecithin. Noticed how I would get itches from eating regular peanut butter. Always thought it was the peanuts and perhaps the trans fatty acids, until I looked closer and saw they use soy lecithin. This was *after* I was eating mostly 72% chocolate without soy lecithin and then switching to a shop brand 72% chocolate WITH soy lecithin and getting the same itches going on again. Since then I'm avoiding soy lecithin as much as I can.
Rice cakes generally are nice Post WO foods to pig out on and with all the various flavours it is easy to get carried away. But now I'm avoiding the cheese variations and when I'm paying attention, also the other ones having soy lecithin. But the 'chocolate toffee' title just made me drool so much I didn't bother reading the label.
Ah. Doesn't it suck to have food sensitivities. But boy, you really have it much much worse than I do.
OTOH, it is worth it to stay away from the allergens, especially since I noticed how much better it is
- for the joints
- for the intestines
- for mental clarity
- for fat loss
Pigging out on the wrong foods then becomes less attractive. Unless you're on a highly unusual big blow-out party and just don't care for how badly you'd feel. A bit like a huge hang-over from getting drunk.
