Totally blew the 5k this morning....

thought the e-mail said that the registration started at 7:30

NOPE. That's when the race started.

I got there just as the racers were starting to come out of the park.

I was really disappointed. I think I will send an e-mail to the organizer that it needs to be clear in future e-mails and on their web when registration starts and when the race actually starts.

Okay

Today's workout NROL Breakin a (last time)

Squats
2x15x70

Lunges
1x15xbw
1x15xbw+1s (used some wrist weights to start adding some weight to the equation)

SS w/ 2 pt DB Rows with elbow out
2x15x21.5 (PR)

Pushups
1x10xbw (Girl style)
1x12xbw (Girl style)

SS with Stability Ball Situps
2x20xbw+10

Overall I'm pleased with what I am seeing on the pushups. Yes I know they are girl style pushups, but I've managed to improve the reps by 6 since I started. My plan is to work on pushups over the next two months so that I keep improving.

Tomorrow is the last day of NROL Breakin for me and then it's a light and fluffy week before starting FL-1. It'll be interesting tho, since I'll take my next set of progress pics right before I start FL-1

Nice work Paula. Don't worry, those pushups will come before you know it.

Great work on the pushups. I believe that a "non girl pushup" lifts about 60% of your bodyweight. As you keep losing, it will get easier!
Maybe it's for the best that the 5k didn't happen - that was a tough workout anyway, today!!

The 5K would have been nothing. I walk 2 miles for SS all the time.

It wouldn't be a stretch to do another mile really and in my cardio queen days I could walk six in 2 hours.

Fair enough! I thought it was a run.
I'm sure another event will come up.

Good job on the squats! I'm a big wimp... today was my 3x15, w/ a 30 second rest day and I had to just use the bar (45 lbs.) for my 3 sets. It was so hard too!!! I was embarrassed, but oh well... at least I'm trying!!! :p

Sorry to hear you missed your 5k! Great work on the pushups - you will get to the non-girly ones before you know it

Well THAT sucks, Paula... it's already getting so hot!
When's the next event that you could do instead?

Congratulations on finishing Breakin (I have noticed that it is not Break-In), rather it is breakin. Has a good feel to it. Today is day 3. You are making some wonderful progress. I am excited to see what your pushup number will be at the end and how much you will have improved.....

Have a good one Matey...

Do we hear 58 lbs? 58 lbs going once! 58 lbs Going twice! YEAHHHHH She's lost 58 lbs!!!!

Weight this morning 252.2. The 240s are solidly coming up in the next month me thinks.

So Cardio is on the card for my off week along with learning the exercises I don't know and working on my pushups!
