thanks. it seems to cycle between painful & normal - I've got those "burn gel" pads on the worst of the finger tips and the one on the palm and that seems to be doing the job. Shiny skin but no real blisters to speak of. Seems to be the day for burning hands.
I'm going to move this week from MWF to TuThSa as the hand isn't quite ready for weights on the burned palm - it's right on the pads where the fingers attach and gripping is pretty irritating tonight even though metal is cool.
I'll make up this weeks lunches instead since that effort was omitted last night what with all the pain and maybe do some BW stuff afterwards.
note to self: if the saute pan has been in the 450 degree oven for 10 mins and only sitting out on the stove for less than 5 mins - don't grab the handle to shove it to the back burner. You'll burn all your finger tips and some of your palm. Owie.
So this is where you've been hiding! I'd high-five ya for meals accomplished and today's workout but I'd pop your blisters and then you'd pop me in the nose.
- my dogs haven't head butt me in the nose (yet) but I have taken one or two in the eye and on the chin in the past - me bending down...them jumping up ....
DL: changed from pulling from floor to pulling from lowest setting on the rack (more appropriate height) so weight went up. Maybe too far - only got 10 on 2nd set so backed off the weight and finished lower. Really concentrated on locking out though on these sets.
Pulldowns: couldn't do all the sets at the new wt. Next time at 12 reps for sure.
Lunges: did static rather than alternating - will go alternating next time.

it looks like I'm in a lunch hour meeting every Thurs through end of March - today it was Rubio's Burrito boxes. I'm going to have to figure a way to figure in this variable food source for the next 10 weeks. today: 1/2 to 3/4 of the burrito, none of the beans, none of the chips, gave away the brownie.

Can you pack your own lunch and bring it into the meeting??
Good for you - giving away that brownie - that's some willpower!!!

politically probably not (at least not at first) - it is with the Marketing group, I'm the project lead (so it's my meeting) and they suggested the lunchtime setting and that they'd pick up the tab. Today, I'm just having my lunch as my afternoon snack (its a training day so I get to eat more anyway)
That sounds like a pretty good solution for now. Maybe some of the places they are ordering from would do a special order or two occasionally, like hold the shell or something like that?

Your project lead...your meeting....your lunch choice?
Nice job on the DLs, girl!

notes:
Push Ups - moved bar down to #7 on rack.
Rev Crunches - let legs go closer to straight during reps to try to increase load
Step Ups - still working on 12" step and minimizing push-off from non-working leg - broke up the reps in the set to 6R, 6L, 6R, 6L because that's what I could do with the best form.
To make up for it in endurance, did additional 2x12 on 10" planter with 5# DB as a finisher.

did I mention it was a Marketing group and on their tab? Perhaps as I shrink before their very eyes over 10 weeks we might be able to make a change . I looked up the nutrition for the burrito (my guess as to which one it was) so I could log it - not too bad of a hit.
after I was all done, I had J. check my depth on squats/tell me when I am at parallel, etc. All I can say is ... I need to work alot on going deeper for those working sets.
thanks for asking - the palm isn't bad - pretty much seems like normal skin now. Apparently I gripped with my fingers more than the palm. The middle & ring fingertips have good sized areas where the skin looks different and the nerves are "dead-ish" - pressure sensation OK but pain is greatly dimished (e.g. stick with a pin). I've still got one of those burn gel pads on the thumb pad so don't know what it looks like - probably like the middle finger.
How's the nose, wrist? Did you stay away from the welding at least?
Egads, woman. No more cooking for you. Or dishwashing. Or laundry.
My wrist is healing quickly, little to none in the pain department. (Immediately after the burn, I slapped on some fresh aloe (burns are frequent enough around here, we keep a HUGE aloe plant just for that LOL), then followed with some silva creme -- kept that up for a couple of days straight so it's healing nicely.) Nose is still sore but is much better than it was!
Now, let's see.... I started with my wrist, followed by your hand, then my nose... It's your turn again!
Notes: Generally feeling not strong tonight. Did the lunges with alternating legs though, so that's better. VM are screaming - that's new. Sub'd planks for the ball crunches as I just need more time with planks.
