"As far as (healthy) eating, either do it, or don't. Same issues repeated over and over is just insanity. We either commit to the endeavor or pay lip-service to it. This is the hardest part of the whole process, and it needs to be practiced more than the actual physical training. It's mind training." ~ Matt Thorne

Oh look - a workout
Strong Lifts 5x5 (which is based on Rippetoe's SS Beginner)
You start with light weight (e.g. just the bar or just enough to raise the bar to do the lift properly (as on deads) and add weight every workout that you can.
Workout A
Squats 5x5: 5x45
Bench 5x5: 5x45
Inverted Rows 3xF(15): on TRX 10,12,10
Push ups 3xF(15): on TRX 10,10,10
Reverse Crunches 3x12: 12, 12, 12

Last week: Several TRX workouts but no more swimming. I've got to figure out how to structure evenings in the work week to get in the pool.
tonight: 1RM testing in prep for starting back with the actual Starting Strength beginners program next week.
Bench - worked up to 1x80. Held 90 in my hands but couldn't complete the rep.
Deadlift - worked up to 1x120. Decided not to attempt more tonight because I'm out of practice with deads.
Why such odd, even numbers you say? Because tonight I realized/remembered that my Oly bar is a 45 lb bar ONLY WITH THE COLLARS ON (d'oh). I rarely use the collars with the weights I use so I can only really count 40 for the bar.
Disregard the red - it's that way in the SS template and I didn't change it.
Warmed up the squats with TRX squats & squat+row combos before moving to the bar since I cannot use a lower weight bar.
I'm learning the no-thumb grip for low-bar squats. My hands hurt.
Notes to self: Moved the bench pegs up to #11 - turns out that's too high for a wider grip, will use #10 next time. Moved pegs for squat down to #14, seems to work better when racking the heavier loads - #15 a little too high for the low bar position.
thought this was pretty funny - didn't know where else to stash it -
That is good!!

just wanted to make a note here:
came down with flu-like symptoms Wed afternoon (4/22) and was sick ever since - even took off work so as to a) get better and b) not share with others.
The Sun workout was sort of a fluke as I was having a transient hyper-I-feel-alot-better moment - but was back to sick on Monday. Feeling more normal today for the first time.
yes it does. apparently several in the dept all got hit at the same time - I blame mine on visiting someone in the "other tower" on Tuesday and being exposed to all their germs
