Congrats on getting the move done, Cappy. That's always difficult. Imagine all the Winter sports you'll get to do now - something a Southern Belle can only dream of!

Boxes are being picked up tomorrow. Will be interesting to see our living/dining room again

not sure what I've decided on winter sports yet. Watched russ's hockey games before and it's quite cold in there :O Thought about speed skating

one fun thing about TO is that I had jerusalem artichokes and mangosteen last night....and fiddleheads the last time I was here. Adding new foods to my menu is pretty cool

last night was a long walk to swanky grocery store where I found these items something didn't make it in my bag, so I might have to walk back that way today again to retrieve it.

oh, body comp thing tonight, was cancelled sunday. Should get my new program soon.

Christine, glad to see that your move went well and you are all settled in the "North Country".

Thanks Julie. I'm pretty much settled until I talk to family especially the nephews, but all is good

had my fitness assessment at new gym today. BF is way too high (no surprise) did pretty good on the fitness part too. warm-up on eliptical, push-ups on bosu ball, squats on bosu ball, squats with ball on wall, chin-up, 5mins on bike.

Asuming that they are all back in AR or close by, I understand. Since I moved to NC in 1974, I've never lived within 700 miles of any of my immediate family until a sister moved to the DC area 3 years ago. There are times when it seems tough, but it's certainly survivable.

It's great to hear that you are about settled in. As you're already aware, Toronto has an incredible amount of nearly everthing (well, except warm winter weather) to offer. I'm sure that you will enjoy it.

What's with the bosu ball? Were those tests?
Tell me about the body fat and all? What did the trainer say?

I was there when she was doing the bosu ball squats. She could see that I was trying to suppress my amusement that they were using that as part of the testing :p

Oh, so last night I changed the settings on my bia scale. I am now a male with 5% body fat, assuming fitness level 3. Figured I'm not necessarily top fitness level by male standards, so I changed it to Fit 1 and it read me at 17% BF. The difference is also in the hydration levels. I'm about 54% water as a female and 60% as a male. So I guess it assumes that as a female the extra water is fat, since it read me 6% higher BF as a woman. I'd guess I was higher than 17%, but I like that number better

didn't get a chance to start workout yesterday since we had early dinner plans. Will today for sure. And I'm ready!!

first workout of new program today

mobility/foam rolling

1a) DB split squat with front foot on 6" box: 3x25lb
1b) seated row to chest: 3x12 x 75,75,68lbs

felt the split squats in glutes on both sides and was watching for no butt tuck under after some practice with bw at beginning. STarted with left leg and right was toast on each set.

rows to chest were good, probably too much weight on 2nd set too as I wasn't getting all the way to chest

2a) low cable pull-throughs : 3x12, 100, 110, 120lbs
2b) face pulls: 3x12 60,70,70lbs

pull throughs were good although should've started at higher weight. 70 probably too heavy for face pulls since not getting all the way to forehead

3) prone jack-knives 2x12
harder than I remembered, had been a while

targeted isos:
bulgarians 2x30 secs
dip + 10x6secs

good workout, starting to sense the soreness already.

had good chinese tonight
