Newbie to TNT, Adam was nice enough to welcome me to his little world. I like the intuitiveness of the eating style, although I'm sure Jonathan will have me on a more "set" schedule eventually. We'll see how it goes.
Never rock climbed, just something I think would be fun to try. The local facility is supposed to be awesome, but expensive. So it will be a little easier on my pocketbook to take the class through the comm. college.
My kickboxing gym is just that -- martial arts and heavy bag classes. I used to teach Turbo Kick for 24HR but that's completely lame in comparison. It's so much diff't actually hitting and kicking something as opposed to punching the air

Have you done much rock climbing? I get free rock time at my club but I have yet to take the intro class and learn to belay (so dh & I wouldn't have to pay for a belayer). It looks like fun, but...
The other classes sound good too. My club/s are so far behind the good stuff. There is a kickboxing class but it's so full that the ladies (mainly) are barely able to extend their arms (I've had to go in to get moms before & it's dangerous!)
Jumping rope really is fun! It's not something I normally would have thought of, but it's catchy. (Jill's the champion though!)
Sorry to see you couldn't get into African dance (I know you were looking forward to that) but the swimming sounds great!
TNT, huh? I feel so out of it...I must go see what is going on 'round here!
Have a great Friday!

I'm gonna keep it simple and post my goals -- if someone wants to figure out the blocks go for it -- I'm really just happy for the challenge and don't care about winning anything.
Nutrition goal:
Following TNT Plan C going for 90% compliance. I've been on a roll lately so this should be pretty straightforward. When I do have free meals my goal is to keep them under control and enjoy something I'm craving instead of shovelling stuff in my mouth for fear of future famine.
Fitness goal:
*Sticking with my 3 day full body split which I love.
*Attend class at my kickboxing gym 3x/week (sometimes more because I love it).
*I will also complete an 8-week "swimming for fitness" course at the local comm. college during the challenge period. My goal is to not miss any of the 16 sessions.
*Foam roll on a daily basis
Personal Goal:
*To continue to get leaner and maintain my healthy relationship with dieting/training without being overly obsessive. I'm not going to attach any hard and fast numbers to this, but I would like to start maintaining at 135.
*Read a book atleast 3x/week.
*Sit at my dining room table when I eat my meals (except for meals when I'm out working). This recent change that I've implemented has really helped me to start enjoying my meals and is much more relaxing than eating in front of the TV.
*Just say "Oh well" to things that disappoint me....
Competitive Goal:
Hmm...I like this idea, just don't know what I'll be doing yet. So this category is "To Be Determined"

I love your goals, Jen! Very well thought out, and healthy!
I need to get mine written down...I am finally able to catch up with this challenge, so I need to post my goals before the weeks' end. Kick my butt if I don't 'k??)

Weren't you fairly low carb before?
I read the "Adam's diet" sticky and am having trouble seeing how it's different than the normal "eat limited amounts of unprocessed 'good' carbs" and lots of protein along with healthy fats?

Well, then stop looking for it to be different from that.

The best diets aren't gimmicky.
I'm just trying to understand why this is some kind of "new" diet if it's just what I've read all along? No need for the - ing...Sorry to cause any trouble or exasperation

Chicks can be so sensative...
The book (TNT) that's coming out uses Adam's diet as it's basis.
A lot of what you see in the Adam's Diet thread is part of TNT, since both are based on that nutritional philosophy. TNT gives you lots of alternatives, depending on your goals at the time (from fastest fat loss to muscle building while still burning fat and some alternatives in between).
Lotsa action going on in here. How you doing, Jen?
